They have new TV spots on and I am laughing my arse off. "Ahm gonna be all over you like a spah-der monkey!" I am so tempted by the pure silliness of it and the theaters shouldn't be too crowded now.

Yes, I've seen it and I can't explain why, but I laughed my arse off too. I think I need to see it again to get the jokes I missed when I was laughing..............

I shamelessly loved it. I have a weird spot for Will Ferrell in my heart and this movie helps fulfill it. And by the way "shake and bake", "The Magic Man", and "El Diablo".

I liked the French adversary. It was too funny, reading Camus and drinking a macchiato in his race car.

Who doesn't love the French adversary? I love the fact that the movie makes the French adversary so likable.

Okay, I just saw it and really liked it. Funny, quirky characters, a real story and the racing footage was quite stunning. I kept asking myself, How the heck did they shoot that scene? Loads of familiar faces, too. I'm terrible at names. The guy from Ally McBeal, the very tall black actor from Green Mile, Gary Cole looked pretty sexy for a druggie -- hips like Mick Jagger. Jane Lynch, who played Ricky Bobby's mom (she is probably Will Ferrell's age) is a favorite of mine. She always makes each role her own. For those of you who can't place the name, she played Steve Correll's boss in 40 Year Old Virgin, and part of a swinging singing duo in A Mighty Wind. I just wish Molly Shannon had more to do.

Now, I don't know if it was just me or if this was unintentional casting, but did anyone notice that Ricky Bobby's two boys looked completely different? Walker (not the little redhead, Texas Ranger) looked a lot like Cal (John C. Reilly). Hmmmm.... I thought TR was adorable.

I loved the outtakes at the end, especially saying grace. Think of all the good stuff they couldn't use!

The "French" adversary is played by Sacha Baron Cohen - who has his own Borat movie coming to theaters in November. I can hardly wait!!!

I just saw the trailer for that. I didn't realize it was him. Looks hilarious. Sort of like an Ali G character.

I just noticed your signature with the St. Francis quote and that you live in Encinitas. Have you ever been to the Self-Realization Fellowhip down there? I've always wanted to go.

Exactly an Ali G character. Same brilliant comic actor. Borat has come to be his most popular character.

I haven't visited the house. DH has and says it has a wonderful sweetness. The gardens I have seen - tiny, dewy, overlooking the ocean. They never fail to delight and are always a place I bring guests. I can't describe how touching their beauty is:
