I too have been a big Glenn Ford fan. He was masculine in a strong, yet reserved-- even smoldering-- way which I admired much. He never "chewed the scenery", and as a result, I always believed him in the roles he played.



I loved his roles in BLACKBOARD JUNGLE and PLUNDER OF THE SUN. The latter is an underappreciated film, and I can sort of imagine myself living out his role in this one...



90 years gave him a good long life. He has made his mark and will be missed.

Aww, that's sad. I just watched him last week on TCM in "Gilda". I loved it.

Handsome man . . . read some unpleasant things about his personal views, but c'est la vie. I remember him best, in A STOLEN LIFE. And, in POCKET FULL OF MIRACLES . . . wherein he helped give Bette Davis, her 'comeback.'

What a gent, he will be missed. My fave is the little known "Fate is the Hunter"...a wonderful movie. RIP, Mr. Ford, well done, sir.

Gilda...a great movie. Rather complicated relationships. I liked him in Teahouse of the August Moon too. He could be funny.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Glenn Ford. It was only when I read the obituary that I learned he was from Quebec province in Canada. There is something he and some of the other actors and actresses of his generation had that was so "convincing," that I don't find in most of the actors of today. When Glenn Ford played a character, you could believe he had it in him to be that character. RIP, Mr. Ford.
