Intriguing new film concerns Elizabeth's inability to understand her subjects' adoration of Diana.

"'Move over, cabbage,' Philip says as the couple go to bed, and the queen dons a woolly dressing gown and clutches a hot water bottle on the night Diana is killed."
A hot water bottle and woolly dressing gown at the end of August??? Talk about suspension of disbelief! Also, do you believe they sleep in the same apartment let alone room let alone bed?
Dangerous project. Frankly I'd be surprised if the Queen was that naive as to what was going on.

Well....they were in Scotland when it happened, no? Maybe it's chilly there in late August at night. LOL
I'm going to see this, only because of Helen Mirren.

LOL Armanis....I bet that flannel nightie is only
the best quality flannel, and the hot water bottle has the royal cyphre on it.
Actually, I quite like The Queen. She seems very sensible.

Let's just say that, on occasion, she's unaware of what's going on around her.

The Queen and Philip have slept in separate bedrooms for ages. Don't you remember years ago when an intruder broke into Buckingham Palace and woke up the Queen? Now, if she'd been in bed with someone else other than Philip, THAT would have been news! As far as I've heard, her last lover was Lord Carnarvon (I think I've butchered the name) in the late 50s or so. He is rumored to be Andrew's father and they look somewhat alike.
