Well, she got a plumb role in From Here to Eternity. I'd have loved Lana Turner, in that part . . . possibly, Joan Crawford. Ms. Kerr was well cast, I thought, in Heaven Knows Mr. Allyson.

How interesting.... there are not too, too many stars left from the "Golden Age" of American cinema (let us say, those stars highly visible from the period 1927-----1960).
In fact, I shall start a new thread on precisely this subject....

Happy Birthday, Deborah Kerr! Lovely lady and excellent actress. Armanis, I liked her in From Here to Eternity because you don't have to be an obvious sex-pot to be hot! No one would be surprised if Lana Turner or Joan Crawford took a lover but the fact that the Deborah Kerr character wasn't "the type" added impact to her actions.
