What is a perfume you don't love but have worn and gotten compliments on? Mine is Chanel Allure. I feel like it's cold and chemical smelling (on me) but apparently others think it's great. I have gotten so many compliments. But I stopped wearing it because while I like compliments, I don't want to have that smell that I dislike wafting up to my nose. Another like that is Black Cashmere. TOO incensy for moi but others like the sillage.
What is/are yours?

Since the perfume nazi's have been out in full force, I've started wearing Pure Grace to work and people keep telling me I smell nice or fresh. Not as good as the other things I wear but at least I have perfume on and don't feel naked.

I don't think that has ever happened to me. If I don't really like a perfume, I just won't wear it just for the sake of wearing it.

I only ever seem to get complimented on Avon Fantasque. I do like it, but wish people would also appreciate some of my more interesting perfumes.

I always get lots of compliments when I wear Perfect Veil, but it's sooo boring and I really only reach for it when I'm in a hurry and can't make a proper perfume decision. :)

^ Yeah but what if you were testing something new out or kind of iffy on a fragrance and re-trying? That's what I'm saying.

I usually do my testing on weekends when I am not at work. I understand what you mean now, Flowerlady. :-)

I received a rare compliment the day I sampled Nahema, a scent which I can appreciate for its composition but is a challenge for me to wear.

Blue Skies by Bare Escentual; it's since been renamed and I'm not sure of the name. Someone chased me down a hall to find out what it was and I just wanted to go home and get it off.

Red Door. I find it awfully brash but I've gotten more compliments on it than any other fragrance.

Ralph Lauren Blue - I don't wear this very often, but when I do, I never fail to get a compliment or two.
