Which of your perfumes has the best drydown? Here are the ones that I'm most crazy about right now:
Serge Lutens Cedre, Ambre Passion, FlowerbyKenzo le Parfum, Orris Noir and With Love by Hilary Duff (really!!). They smell wonderful, even the next day.

BEST DRYDOWN: CHERGUI by Serge Lutens. The warm subtle spicy middle should last forever, but the drydown is fine: a whirlwind, sandy, soft and calming. I have a critique for Chergui: It comes off as an EDT for me. It needs to be an EDP in dilution. Chergui should be made available forever. If I could choose one perfume, it would be Chergui.

Angelique Encens , TDC's Jasmin De Nuit and "L" by Lolita Lempicka.

Mitsouko. It really comes into its own during the drydown. I love how it smells on clothing the next day, too.

Strangely, two perfumes of which I really like the drydown leave a lingering floral note on te skin: Youth Dew Amber Nude has been turning up that black rose scent in the drydown. Another one, which I haven't worn in a long time, is Eau de Camille. EdC leaves a beautiful natural honeysuckle note on the skin. Another one I just thought of is Initial by Boucheron. Top notes I can take or leave but as it moves along, the amber drydown is deliciously sweet and light.

I feel that all my fragrances have a great drydown, that's why I have them. It's all about the dry-down, baby !
Lately I have been enjoying Euphoria, Organza Indecence, Fendi and Magie Noire.

I find this question difficult to answer because if a perfume doesn't have an amazing drydown, I don't buy it - but I'll stick with White Linen, because I love its sillage/drydown/way it hugs my skin/suits me/makes me smell the BEST !

Yeah, I'm with you guys. Generally if I don't like the dryout I won't get a fragrance. I do think that Lolita Lempicka has a very unusual and unique dryout though.

Mitsouko is at its best in the collar and cuffs, a memory of its initial glory.

I have to second Tjen's choice of Caleche. It's so wonderful to get a whiff of it at the end of the day as I'm getting ready for bed.
Another one I'm loving right now is AG Sables (the men's version). Smells great on me and on hubby.

I love cedar in the drydown. It comes unexpectedly sometimes--I've been wearing Hypnotic Poison for most of fall and only recently have I noticed that this pronounced cedar note come in to freshen up the musky vanilla drydown. A great cedar note also comes up in L'Occitane's Roses edt's drydown and in I Love Love.

Futur (R. Piguet) hands down. A rich blueberry-like green/fruity lingering scent.

My favorite drydown, of all of my frags, is Chanel No. 19.

Or et Noir. I like when the rose note decends into the dusky Caron twilight...

Again, I come to SHALIMAR. (What a johnny-one-note I am, hm?). That opoponax drydown, anchored by a burnt vetiver corkiness, is just heaven to me.

Must de Cartier is absolutely unbelievable in its deep dry-down phase.
In fact, it's one of the few fragrances that lasts on me from shower - to - shower. It keeps going, and going, and going...
And it's delightful to smell, at all times.
Nuit de Noel, Une Rose, & Farnesiana are the very best drydown on me.

Totally, completely Jicky. No question. While I like the top, and am ehh.. about the middle, when it bottoms out, it's the most fantastic scent I have ever experienced. I hope to God it never goes away!
Of course at the moment I'm really enjoying the Moment Supreme ... I'm such a slut... :)

Most perfumes go right to drydown on me, so it's always all about the drydown. The one that comes first to mind is Angelique Encens.

24, Faubourg has the most amazing salty smell in the drydown. I think it's patchouli with something else that I am not sophisticated enough to identify. When it dries down, I want to just sit with my wrist in front of my nose, sniffing that salty note.

I agreee that without a great drydown, I won't really love a fragrance. Some fave drydowns:
Caleche
Quadrille
L'Occitane Ambre (new one)
Jolie Madame
Balmain de Balmain

My current favorite is Black Cashmere. I woke up in the middle of the night one night, wondering what the wonderful smell was, and it was BC on the collar of my bathrobe that was draped over the bed at my feet.
