I received a beautiful, generous sample of this through Andy Tauer's blog and all I have to say is
WOW!!
This is a remarkable lavendar scent--bracing, then musky-sweet, then warm and grassy-woodsy. On me it is lovely but on DH--perfection.
It is unlike anything I have ever smelled before. Anything.
From the card that Andy enclosed with the sample:
Head Notes: lavender, galbanum, fir balm, bergamot, and rose absolute.
Heart Notes: frankincense, ambrette seeds, orris
Body Notes: vetiver, tonka beans, oakmoss, vanilla, ambergris, sandalwood and cedar wood. (Forgive me Andy if I messed up the notes listing)
I know this has been reviewed on the blogs but I wanted to start a little POL thread to show my appreciation and to start the lovefest. :)

I will go to the website and buy a sample, as I did with the other Tauer fragrances. I love them all, and enjoy wearing them very occaisionally...none have become FBW yet, but I love having them in my sample collection. I look forward to trying Reverie Au Jardin, there seems to be no leather or smokey notes, so this one should be quite different.

This is
completely gorgeous and astonishingly modern as well.
I should get a bottle of this soon...

I got a sample of this and it quite frankly is out of this world as far as a lavender scent goes and the lasting power is incredible. I have to review it soon.

Can you tell us how to access Andy Tauers blog? I can't find it on the blog list.

just received my sample last night - and i really like it. need to give it more skin time, but the first test went very well. i enjoyed it all the way through - and especially liked the way the rose played against the lavender. it's a smooth, relaxing scent.
and i can see this being amazing on a guy - in fact, that was my only hesitancy - that it might smell better on a man than on me! ha.

I've not been tempted by much lately but this has piqued my interest!

The fact that a fellow lavender hater likes this has piqued my interest.

Well, that's what I wondered, if lavender is not my thing, and it isn't usually, but I really like his scents, will I like it?

I must be among the last to receive my sample-
It just arrived yesterday.
I've got to say, that he really altered his original mod in a marvellous way- It's incredibly soft, airy, yet clings.
Highly evocative, herbaceous but not 'in your face' SMACK !
Different from his other works, but with the distinct fingerprint of the Master.
[Yeah, I know, I know...I'm a sucker for an Aquarian, and I'm in love with the man's SOUL, for God's sake]
I think I'll want this one.
Really.

But, it
did arrive... So, I must be the last one to receive my sample.... *sigh*
Great review, Helg! I definitely was eager to try it, but now that I read your review, I'm all agog...

As a general rule I don't care for lavender, but I LOVE this!
It smells more iris-like to me.
Beautiful!
