i have to be honest here and say i was not impressed at all by the rue cambon line. i thought they were derivitive and the new guerlain releases are truly interesting ; not these imo. that being said i havent tried the others 18, etc.

Thank you helg, for a thorough review. I'm wondering how much one bottle of Exclusive would cost.

You're welcome, Lauermar.
Glam, I can't say I was too impressed either. They do seems to have elements of other scents in the line.

Price:
200ml EDT = 180 euros

I haven't even smelled these babies either and from all the talk on them, I'm in NO RUSH.

The only ones I care for are the tried true classics: Bois des Iles, Cuir de Russie and No.22. The best of the lot that are now part of the Les Exclusifs line.

I'm still pissed that Chanel pulled them and made them part of this Les Exclusifs line. Making them more difficult to obtain. And you can no longer buy them online at Gloss.com which will shortly be closed down.

I'm with you, Mando, about at least three of the four Rue Cambon classics being superior to the new offerings : I've already bought Cuir de Russie, N°22 and Bois des Iles are next on the list.

However, the neo-chypre, 31 rue Cambon, is giving them a run for their money. A sweet PoLer sent me a decant for my birthday and I love the coolness of the iris blended with a pepper note and a nutty base. It's also on my full bottle list.

I haven't really tested the others in enough depth but I was also very attracted to Bel Respiro : its green headnotes, altough much too fleeting (we all agree on that) have a cut-grass sweetness that set it apart from its sister N°19 which is a chypre and whose green is a bit more bitter. If I were wealthy I would certainly indulge with this as well but as it is, I'll enjoy my miniature.

I think this one is the one I'd be most interested in smelling out of the line really. The rest from their reviews by so many others on here and on other blogs don't seem so great. I bet I'd like Bel Respiro too. But if the nice green note is so fleeting like everyone says it, I'd be very disappointed. I love green scents that actually last on the skin like Aliage Estee Lauder and Private Collection Estee Lauder. And I wear both of these. I know Private Collection is a ladies' scent. But it's so beautiful and when I feel like throwing caution to the wind, I just wear it! Both of those two are the best green scents ever made in my book.
