Checking the web, I see there is predicted possible snow for Winnipeg, Prince Albert and Montreal today. Is it snowing yet where you are? I am so excited about my trip to Montreal this December, I'm hoping for a White Christmas. :-)

Greetings from Montreal, caz! It snowed a few flakes yesterday and then again this morning. Light snow is possible for tonight but there's nothing on the ground. Still and all, it's promising, very promising! Vive la neige!

FiveO, do you usually get a white Christmas where you are? It must be wonderful during Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Scentual, good question! Up until last year I can't remember a Christmas that wasn't white. Even if there was no snow beforehand, you could count on Christmas eve to come through with a fairy-tale blanket of white. Last year--nothing. Everyone was so mad. If you live here you may not want it to snow at other times for convenience of getting around but for Christmas, you feel entitled to have snow. I guess it's global warming catching up with us but I sure hope this year we get back to normal!

FiveO I grew up in Quebec (St. Jean sur Richlieu) and I still remember the enomous amount of snow we would get every winter and it was cold, so cold it would often pop the nails in the roof of our house. However when I was back there this past Feb. I was stunned at how cold it got (-40), I had never been so cold in all my life. As much as I miss snow and Mtl. the cold is just too much for me. I'll stick to the Wet Coast where all it does is rain.

Must be nice to have a wonderous white Christmas!

Beautiful area along the Richelieu River, Laemco. The Richelieu looks an like English paintings of rivers in the 1800s, with soft lines and puffy trees. I just love it. There was one cold snap last winter; that must have been it. I can understand your feelings. It was quite an eye-opener once when I was in Vancouver in February and flowers were in bloom all over town!

Glo, when's the last time you saw a White Christmas? Have you ever or have you always been in a warm climate?
Jicky
Hot in Australia today.

Gosh, I'd love to have a White Christmas again. Here in my part of Virginia, that just ain't gonna happen. Enjoy the beautiful snow!!

Oh, well, we're back to sunshine and blue skies without a cloud in sight. No snow predicted for the next five days either. It was exciting for a few hours and hopefully it will return!

We had a few flakes here in the Mitten State a few days ago. Nothing serious yet. Fine by me. I think it's lovely to look at, but I don't enjoy driving in it.
Zephyr
Sunny, warm, and dry here in South Texas, a very nice time of year. We need rain though.

we've had 4 snowfalls to date but nothing has stayed yet. Ski Louise opened this weekend with a good base. The Rockies are very white. Chinooks permitting, we should be white this Christmas.
Anna
Snowing in Stockholm too today.

There was a bit of snow when I woke up this morning. It's very cold, and the snow somehow makes it feel a bit warmer.

Not even a tift of snow. We're having almost Indian Summer weather here in the center of the United States. Leaves are falling very fast now and it's just beautiful. For some reason, I still have a window box planter blooming. It may still be blooming by Thanksgiving. I have babied it, so that's the reason I suppose.
I am so in the mood for cider, candles, hot chocolate.

It has snowed all day. I love it! :-)

Here in the so called Great White North the weather has been almost balmy for the past two days , though we did have some snow the day this very thread was started.

Nubelia, for some reason I think you live in southern Ontario. I live in Hamilton, myself. It WAS a gorgeous balmy day today! No jacket required when I spent a really beautiful afternoon enjoying autumn's colours.

Well howdy neighbour , I am just down the road from you in Cambridge and it was gorgeous indeed. I think this might have been the first time in my life I ever regretted wearing a jacket of any sort in November.

Did I mention I love Hamilton and its hidden gem waterfalls , one of my favourite day trip destinations?
