Perhps this is a stupid question but I'm thinking of buying a cabinet for my perfume bottles and other things. Inside many cabinets there is a smell from the material, wood and so on. Does this smell affect the juice in the bottles?
Right now my bottles are in my closet where there is no strong smell. Well there is now - a strong smell from my perfumes. Hm. So I want to ask as well: Do perfumes stored together affect each other?

No, I suppose there is no problem Orchidbloom. If your perfumes are OK proparbly mine will be as well and If there was a problem with smells you proparbly could read about that on all these sites on the Internet.

Novis, if the perfumes are sealed, I would doubt outside smells could get in, especially if the area is cool enough--not heated. I keep the perfumes I'm not using in boxes in my closets too and if anything, there is a subtle aroma emanating from the bottles--just enough to give a pleasant aura to the closets but not so much as to stick to the clothing. I have not noticed any transfer from one scent to another, and I've been doing this for years.

Thank you Fiveoaks. I thought of byuing a cabinet but now I have re arranged things in my home and have got space in a cabinet I aldready have. But I want my perfume bottles there whithout the boxes so I can open the cabinet door and have a look at them if I want. I keep the boxes though for travelling or if I want to store a bottle away for a longer time.
I suppose there is nothing to worry about. Haven't this enourmous bunch of perfumes yet. But it is growing.

Novis, as long as the bottles are tightly closed, I don't see anything to worry about. Isn't it fun shopping in one's own perfume closet!
