I keep seeing adorable fashions on TV from Steve & Barrry's, where nothing costs more than $20. They have several celeb designers, including Sarah Jessica Parker. What is the quality like? I'm not expecting couture, mind you, but I want to know that if I wear a dress in the rain, it won't dissolve.

Hmmm...I've avoided them except for a slate gray knit sweater I got one time. I knew what I was getting into, but it would have been nice had it kept its shape for more than one wash. OF course, this was a knit sweater.

I think other articles have held up much better, when we stuck with the basics - heavy cotton, minimal details. Sweatshirts, t-shirts, ball caps. Tried their jeans once but didn't like the fit.

My husband bought a pair of running shoes there for $15. They lasted four months.

Actually, he does run a lot, but not in those shoes! Lol!
