Full Version: Wearing Your Holiday Fashion Mistakes

So today I'm wearing my holiday jeans. I bought them around this time of year which was a major mistake. The reason of course is that around this time of year I'm unusually skinny from training. So I went down a couple of inches in the waist and wanted jeans that actually fit. Well I found them, they're nice but I'm not happy that I can only wear them for December/January since I can't keep this weight off year-round.

Granted it's not a lighted Rudolph the reindeer sweater, but still... How about y'all???

Believe it or don't I almost pulled the trigger on a pair of those, but opted for the jeans since they would be more versatile, for the 45 days when I can fit into them.

Darn. Well, if you do decide to spring for them, please post some pics!

I was 11 years old. It was near Christmas and I threw together an emsemble of a red shirt, red denim skirt, white belt, and lime green socks. sad.gif

Thomas, I keep pants of various sizes as my weight has fluctuated over the years - my motto is never throw any favorite pants away! I am now regretting some wonderful old Levis 501s that I thought I would never be able to fit into again, and then I lost weight... never say never again!

What is it about the holidays and stirrup pants? It seems like the two occur together. It can't be pure coincidence...

Heh, last time I dropped to a 32 waist I had my chinos taken in. Then I gained again, and they were all unwearable. I've not been that skinny since, but have come rather close at times. I buy few enough clothes to be able to keep some here and there. Actually I just got rid of some jeans I wore in high school. I kind of outgrew them style-wise. Plus, they were black, and I've got better options now.

Wearing pants with an elastic waist at a Thanksgiving or Christmas meal. I've found I do much better if I wear fitted, non-stretch pants.

(Yes, some would say that wearing an elastic waist at any time is a fashion no-no. Meh.)

That reminds me of an episode on Friends when Joey wore Phoebe's maternity santa pants to a meal thrown by Monica : )
