Erin Armendinger, managing director of the Baker initiative, puts it this way: "Men and women are simply different," she says. "It's important for retailers to remember it's not only what they're purchasing, but how they're doing it."
Le puke. For her sales strategies, they're targeted in different ways. Doesn't mean much where the rubber hits the road, or in my case, where my metro boyfriends meet the pair of pants they haven't tried yet.

I think I must be a man. I hate shopping with a passion. I buy everything I possibly can on the internet so I can avoid shopping.

I've found that once a person shops online for a while, retail prices become offensive. People who shop online usually didn't love the in-store shopping experience to begin with... it's a vicious cycle of bargains and fuel surcharges.

Funny, as a teen and in my 20's, I loved shopping... lingering to look at everything.
Now I don't like it.
I think my time at NORDSTROM cured me of "shopping love".
I'm more aware nowadays of the various advertising gimmicks used to sell all manner of things, and have become a sharper spy of the "emperor's new clothes" syndrome, whereby simple objects are sold at outrageously high prices. Sometimes more money does, in fact, equal a better product, but just as often, not.
The only thing I will linger over nowadays is perfumes...
But "finding a parking space near the store entrance" (reportedly bedevilling menfolk) is just not an issue with me...

I've long suspected as much. No, seriously...I feel the same way. Hate it

Oh, I am the female cliche. I looooove to shop. Love it. Apart from singing, there's no other way I'd rather spend an afternoon. Pathetic.

I used to love shopping , back in the day when downtown was full of shops , but alas downtown is dead and there are only soul destroying malls.
The change of scene has turned me into a guy , otherewise I would love shopping and still be a chick.

Well, this gatherer has gathered a little too much these days! I no longer like to go into stores to shop, but I will spend way too much time on the internet reading perfumery notes ...

Doncha know that's why men reverse into parking spots? So they can make a quick getaway.
Women nose in because they know the most important part of shopping is filling the boot with ... errr ... booty. So it has to be easy to access.
