He looks like a cross between her father and Clint Eastwood. Lynden Gillis is a retired 72-year old businessman who met her at a book signing when he asked for her autograph and she said, "You look like a movie star." Woo hoo! I read that she wants to do a movie with an erotic love scene to prove sex doesn't end after 40.
Jane and LyndenI saw her on Extra Extra tonight at her birthday party and she looks fantastic. She and Joan Rivers are perfect examples of good (Jane) and bad (Joan) plastic surgery. I want the name of her doc! I hope her new guy isn't a scam artist.

NO, no naked JF at 72!
She is forever Barbarella, and she was even hot standing on the tank in North Vietnam!

She's 70. Don't forget she's been working out forever, so isn't a typical 70-yr old. Helen Mirren does nude scenes and she's 62 and doesn't look half as good.

Yes ,she is 70 , whatever, I just want to make clear, I don't admire her for that photo in Vietnam just the opposite.

Wow, he said she looks like a movie star! So he's either:
1) truly unaware of who she is, which is hard to believe and disturbing if true - has he avoided all popular culture and news/current events for most of his life? Not a good prospect for a bf, if you ask me.
or
2) using the lamest line ever, given the circumstances.
Y'know what really pisses me off about JF? When her exercise videos were at the height of their popularity, she was bingeing and purging daily, by her own (later) admission. So she was selling this "if you work out you can look like me" BS under the guise of strengthening and empowering women, while she remained slim by making herself throw up what she had eaten, which is dishonest and hardly empowering.
She strikes me as one of those women who despite her real talents and beauty and money of her own, will compromise her integrity for a man, over and over. Who is profoundly uneasy, maybe even panic-stricken, when single, and never seems to learn the lesson most women learn after a few bad relationships: that subservience has a high price. I would put Christie Brinkley in the same category, well, minus the 'talent'.
I do admire JF's achievements; she's an extremely good actress, but the Barbarella outfit was not her lowest point in terms of female stereotypes, if you ask me.

You got it backwards. She said HE looked like a movie star.
And she is the one who left Ted Turner.

Oops! My bad! Well he does look like Clint Eastwood. It's still kinda cheesy but would have been cheesier if
he had said it to
her.
As for her leaving Ted Turner, if you read her autobiography, she definitely made herself subservient to him. She may have left him (I seem to recall some very bad behavior on his part, very patronizing and disrespectful) but that doesn't mean she didn't compromise herself when she was with him.

Well.............I'll take her word for it in the sex dept. I believe her.
She still looks great.
I wasn't nuts about her during the Vietnam war but............

Glo , I was not nuts about her that time either!
Jane does look great but I have to wonder - why go there again after Ted! If she marries this one - its official - she is a idiot. Just date them.

She's 70, she looks great, she's still getting work, she's got all her marbles, and she's got a new beau. I say... rock on Jane!
I think she's admitted more than once that the tank picture was a mistake, and she regrets it. Give her a break, it was a lifetime ago.

Well, I think she looks great, and I did admire her for her position on Vietnam, including the picture -- so there!

Anyway, a friend of mine is participating in a dating service, and she says the guys they send her are "too old" -- some in their sixties, one in his seventies. I say don't write anybody off -- the next guy you could meet for coffee could be Mr. Clint Fonda.
She and he both seem like fully vibrant people -- more power to the two of them!

I think Jane's new squeeze is attractive. He looks like my across the street neighbour when I lived in NOLA. He also looks a bit like her late father Henry when he was aging gracefully.

I adore Jane Fonda! Read her recent book which is really good and describes her Vietnam issue, her husbands, etc. Very good book, more like an autobiography. I used to work out to her videos back in the day. She is someone that I truly admire. She is doing a lot for young girls in the state of Georgia and has a kind heart.

Years ago I once joined a dating service. They had many more men than they did women and I was constantly going out for dinner it seemed! I agree.....they did send me quite a few older men, but I took it in stride and was polite to them.
Later I called the service and canceled my subscription because they were not sending me people in the age group I specified. They asked me to remain in the service free of charge, and admitted they didn't have enough women to date the men that paid a HEFTY fee! I found out later about the hefty fee.
If I had any doubts before about canceling the subscription, they were all dispelled by what I found out later from one of the men I went to dinner with, whom I went on to become close friends with! I canceled LIGHTNING FAST after that!

I saw her in person years ago when she was married to Ted. It was at a wildlife benefit dinner in Bozeman, Mt.....Ted has a ranch near there.
Jane was very personable and mingled with everyone...and all I could think of was that she had Gortex implants in her cheeks...that was the rumor anyway.
Jane was very down-to-earth...Ted was loud and flamboyant.

I just looked at photos of her at different ages at imdb.com. She's always had good bone structure. No doubt, as she aged, she lost the fat in her face, making her cheekbones more prominent. That happened to me. I never knew I had cheekbones until I turned 40!
