The Tango is music and dance. Here is a wonderful Powerpoint Presentation highlighting both as shown in some outstanding paintings.

Passionate, sensual and remarkably seductive, the Argentinian Tango is very evocative for many of us. Choose from European or International danse whatever it is that best suits your mood - the romanticism of the waltz, the exuberance of rock & roll, or the carneval atmosphere of the Samba. Despite its reputation as a melancholy danse, the Argentinian Tango reflects all these moods at the once - and does so better.

Born in the underworld of Buenos Aires, the Argentinian Tango has exceeded its modest roots to sparkle in the most elite Parisian soirées, but its true home remains the bars, the poorer areas and those that live in them.

I loved it - enjoy!

I believe that on some browsers (specifically, Firefox), the above sometimes fails. If that occurs:
  1. point your browser to http://pdf.informatia.ro/index.php?dir=Div.../PPS/27nov2007/
  2. click on Le_Tango_en_peinture.pps
  3. select "Open with"

If the "OK" button is grayed out when "Open with" is selected, select "Save to". Just note where you are saving it so you can find it.

If all else fails, I'd be happy to email you the file - contact me off-line.
