Just a question to the mods:
Isn't that thread a bit too political here? Just an idea...

Just the type of behavior a police state breeds (censorship) --- informing on your neighbor.
Lillie I hope you're making a point ;-)

This is EXACTLY what i wanted to demonstrate, it was IRONIC, of course, and sorry if you didn't get that! It is posted here in regard to tjen's deleted thread and the discussion on that!
But of course for many nations in the so called "civilised" world censorship isn't really something unusual...*outch*.
But i should keep my big mouth shut because this is the very point which made me restrain from the Talk About Life section few months ago!

My father wears this on a t-shirt. He's not Native whatsoever, ethnically, but he spends a couple of weeks every summer on Habitat for Humanity-style projects in Navajo land. He gets recharged from the time there and looks forward to it each year. He walks around the rest of the year in our small New England town bedecked with turquoise and silver, and a big western hat. We call him the Cherohonkee just to tease him a little.

Lillie -- Yeah, I thought you were making The point -- and I agree. There is no consistency ;-) I
suppose we should be happy for the few crumbs of adult autonomy we're allowed.

Does anyone remember the book (don't know about the movie), "Farenheit 415" (or whatever number it was), wherein folks were called upon to police each other?
We're there indeed, Lillie.
And, with a nod to the post originator, sadly, I must agree. It's a fallen world. My only consolation is that most of my ancestors came over within the past 100 years. Small consolation, tho'.
Looked at from another view, our entry into this continent was the advance wave of globalization, which has been going on since there were people.

Magdalene, this is what i was going to demonstrate as i cannot accept censorchip here and nowhere!! I#ve had a discussion on that here before!!
And nothing less. This reaction is only logical in regard to what happened to tjen's thread.
And i'd like to trust my OWN eyes. Thank you.
The suggestion to close a thread when it doesn't follow the rules without deleting it is not bad. i also found it agreeable if only the "unruly" comments were deleted.
