Nathan, you are going to LURVE the Encre Noir... so wonderful and easy to wear.

My husband wears Vetiver Extraordinaire as his "first we'll take Manhattan" scent. I love it and wear it sometimes. My personal favorites are Vetiver Oriental and Onda, and as of today it looks like Vetiver Dance (Tauer) will be joining them.

To my previous list, I'll add Ayala Moriel's Vetiver Racinettes, which I'm sampling at this moment. It's lovely and playful, with all of vetiver's green rootiness, earthiness from attar mitti, and a slightly effervescent sweetness. Thanks, Ayala!

I believe this is a limited edition for the summer.

I recently received a sample of Ayala Moriel's Vetiver Racinette and it is just wonderful!

There is a review of it, as well as a terrific series on Vetiver at http://www.perfumeshrine.com/

The Vetiver Racinette is so complex, evolving through woods and spices but always with that clear beautiful note of the vetiver carrying them through. Truly a beautiful creation with good lasting power too. Smelled as nice on my husband as on me smile.gif

I missed this thread somehow...anyway, my fav's:

-Racine by Maitre Parfumeur. Beautiful, tart citrus vetiver.
-Kenzo Air. Synthetic, whispy vetiver.
-Givenchy Vetyver. Pure, elegant, refined vetiver.

I've focused alot of my efforts on reviewing vetivers lately...was most impressed with these three. Perfumeshrine has a great vetiver-focused series of articles that is most informative.

I hate to say this, but I was not at all impressed with Andy Tauer's latest vetiver. I'm all for supporting the independent talent, but it missed the mark for me.
