Well, I may have just damned myself. :-)
I indulged in a fairly large "farewell order" to Fishbone, and one of the samples I ordered was an Ava Luxe scent I've heard loads about: Madam X. I haven't tried any of Serena's scents, and this one (and Cafe Noir) sounded like my cup of tea. I chose Madam X.
I see that she's now selling her scents on Etsy, but Madam X isn't listed there!! Does anyone know the scoop? Did I decide to test a discontinued fragrance? Because I really don't need to be doing that to myself any more!!
Info, please...

I read some murmers on Basenotes about Serena getting back into selling fumes ( in addition to Etsy) but a more honed down version of her old site , not sure if Madame X is in the picture though.
Keep an eye on this site for now
http://avaluxe.typepad.com/Or it could be using Etsy as her tool , there were none before and the list has grown since I last checked. Anyhoo, the site is a good point of contact , query and updates , who knows ?

Etsy items disappear when they're purchased. I've seen Madame X on her etsy store site before.
You do have to join etsy to use it as a buyer, but it's free. For the most part, sellers take PayPal, but some take money orders, checks or other payments. It is possible to contact individual etsy sellers and ask for special orders, payment arrangements, etc. I have placed a special order with Serena in the past, and I've noticed other "reserved for so-and-so" items in her etsy shop.

Yes, yes, Dewey, I am a member of Etsy and I know how it works.
It's that the scent isn't listed there, so I thought someone might know if it was a limited edition or discontinued.
Thx

Very recently, when she didn't have any Madeline listed on her site, I just sent her an email asking about it's availability, and she whipped up a bottle for me! Just send her an email.
I've learned to just check in at her site every few days. That way, I don't miss anything that comes up, and also, it seems like there's always something new that I haven't tried yet!
Having said that, I do wish that she would go back to offering samples. The Perfumed Court & Fishbone 96 don't carry all of her fragrances, so it's not always possible to sample them before buying. The last two bottles I've purchased have absolutely no staying power on me (even though they are lovely fragrances.) I wish I could have tried them first.
So far, Madeline & White are the only two that really last on my skin...

Chaya, I had emailed her and hadn't heard back yet, so I was just askin'. :-) I have since heard back from her.
So, who can tell me how her Eau de Parfums compare to her parfums?
Twitch: Yes, "farewell order." Fishbone departed The Perfumed Court and intended to reopen her own decanting business, but had a change of heart. Instead, she had a bit of a liquidation sale. I do not know if it is still happening, but I took good advantage of it to get some things I was curious about.

More sillage, sweetie.
I used to only order extraits-
but I've found that the edp's can last longer, with a bit more throw...
I've been very happy with them [you should see my drawer- no room for clothes, LOL!]

To order from Serena, you need to login to Etsy, and order through the site. I have ordered three bottles this way, and Serena has been very quick to respond.
