So, I got a couple of free gifts of Guerlain Orchidee Imperiale products from Bergdorf's. I don't use the strange serums that are supposed to lift and plump and de-wrinkle me, so those are useless. But I do need a new moisturizer. I loved Lancome's Impactive. It left my skin feeling very silky. Now I use Laura Mercier. It's very moisturizing, but I'm not in love. And it smells like sunscreen.
I tried the Orchidee Imperiale sample. Wow. My skin has never felt so silky before! And it's not at all greasy. The smell is wonderful.
Of course, the price is something like $375 for 50 mL, which is about 10x more expensive than what I'm using now. Guess I'll keep looking. :(

It is good. I got a couple of small samples cheaply on eBay, and I've been using them. I do love it, but the price is outrageous and not something I could even begin to consider. If you love it, check eBay. There's some 5 ml sample tubs that are not overly priced. And a little goes a long way...

I am actually not loving it as much this morning. I had some kind of weird reaction to it. My eyelids are very sensitive, and they got sore and puffy. Then my forehead broke out in a little rash. I don't take it too seriously--my skin is really sensitive. But I probably won't use it again. Boo! It's a bummer, though, because the rest of my face has never felt nicer.

Skip the parts that are sensitive and put it on the parts that it worked for.
I use a La Prairie that way, not bec of sensitivity, but bec I only want to use it sparingly where it is needed. It lasts a long, looonnng time that way.
At the moment I'm having some sensitivity by my eyes. I think it is the mascara I used, but it's hard to pin it down as I don't want to go without.
