Lady Jicky I read in the chihuahua thread that you have a rescued pug. Tell us about him/her! I think pugs are so cute, I would like to have one if I had a dog though I have read they are stubborn and not the brightest breed.
Smelka I should be mailing your Un Lys tomorrow. Sorry about the delay, have to go to the P.O. soon so will post it then!
Rain Rain Rain Rain!!! Lots of lashing rain. We have the heater on today. Melbourne is so weird.

Thank you Teacake, don't worry, it is Easter, enjoy it, there is plenty of time. Yes, just a few days ago it was so hot and today it is only 12 degrees! We went today to see "The other Boleyn " enjoyed it a lot, it is not just the costume drama, so the costumes and scenery are magnificent , it was a gripping story, highly recommended.

We have had Rosie ( after Carons Rose perfume) for 5 weeks now. I have Oscar who is half a pug half maltese and he is 13 yrs . Well, noone wanted Rosie as she is not the cutiest pug on the block and "old" - 8 years - that is young to us as our peke was 17 when we had to put her to sleep 3 years ago. Anyway - pugs are alot of work. You have to clean their faces everyday and she has dry eye like Oscar so we do eye drops for 2 dogs each day to stimulate tears. This medicine is expensive! I think this is the reason Rosie was dumped at the rescue. She has ear infections and they look like the ears will always be a problem and I do think she was either hit in the head or maybe a car hit her as she used to escape to the lady down the road to get something to eat. I kind of think she got hit by a person as she winces when you get near sometimes.
Still, she is the sweetest dog and she just lives to please. We are learning things everyday and we feel she did not have a nice life - very nervy in the beginning and she paced alot - never let you out of her vision but she is more relaxed now and will go to sleep and let you walk around. She was like a magnet! Rosie has few teeth as they had to come out so she has to eat soft food . Hot days - you do not walk them but I did not do this with Oscar or my Peke Lulu. They are not the dog to get if you love to jog with a dog. I know of some rescue dogs that have only one eye left and people will adopt them but a rescue , I have now learnt is not as easy as you think - its what has gone on before you got them. I do not regret getting her as she has burnt a hole in all our hearts but I now know its not as easy as you think. LOL

Thanks for telling us about her Lady Jicky. There is a shop pug near me that follows you all around the shop, she is really lovely and I think the breed is adorable. How do Oscar and Rosie get along?

Well Teacake, Oscar had his nose out of place for awhile but not one dog fight! Now its colder - he is loving her ( Oscar feels the cold) as she runs hot and she loves to sleep with him! Oscar is a "user" guy! LOL Teacake - pugs Love People! I bet that pug in your shop has a great life greeting everyone.
Shall post photos but need husband to help me - will do it tonight Nubs!
Remember - she is not the prettiest pug in the lot but as Rosie says " I have tons of personality!" LOL

Lady Licky, what a lovely thing to do.....adopt an 8 year old pug...what a great life you are giving her!!
We have a Jack Russell and I think it would be good for him to have a canine pal. We don't really have enough garden for 2 dogs, and our house is not large either, and the teenage sons are getting BIGGER each day!!

LadyJ , I think Rosie is a love , what an expressive face ! I love how you have her posing with her blooms and the doggie bling ,she is adorable . I think the title of Grand Lady as Teacake said suits her to bits : )
and lets not forget Oscar , more handsome every day (psst cant have the old nose going out of joint , can we?)

Do you see how pugs ALL lean on things - even half pugs!
Oscar is bigger than Rosie length wise but she has longer legs so she is taller .
Nubs - a girl needs a bit of Bling and a pretty flower or two when the camera is about! LOL

Amen to that! I have been known to hide behind some blooms and blings when the camera is loose.

Yeah, but we know its you Nubs! its that paw around a big bottle of Chole that gives it away! LOL
P.S. Nubs - told my daughter about the stupid changing to Chole perfume (she loves it too) so she went out and bought a bottle of the original she had seen in a shop. I must get one too!

Your girl is clever and very lucky , when I heard of the release of this new imposter Chloe I ran out as well , but no luck at my usual haunts , none , so its online for me , but I am going to stock up no matter who I have to kill or steal from!

Smelka! Would love to see a photo of Brandy!
When I take Oscar and Rosie to the groomers I call it their spa day or they have gone to Elizabeth Ardens for a "day of beauty". Now, I am showing my age! LOL
