Singulair maybe linked to suicidal behavior.

It seems every month there is another pharmaceutical being pulled, reevaluated or flagged.

I saw this on the news last night too. Both my youngest DS and I take Singulair for asthma. Although neither of us has experienced thoughts of suicide, there was enough evidence for this to be troubling to me. The report last night cited cases of teens and young adults. I believe other drugs have been linked to increased suicides in this same age group as well. I wonder if something in these medications is amplified by the things that go on naturally during this adolescent period? Or are these drugs beings mistakenly linked to behavior during what is normally a somewhat turbulent and emotional time for kids/young adults?

Wow, that's scary. I took Singulair for a while, years ago, for asthma though, not for allergies. I had no bad side effects, but it didn't help with my asthma either so I stopped taking it.
