I wore L'Interdit. I remember it being a choice between that and Le Dix.

It's that vanilla magic, I tell you. Men do seem to love it.
I do think you are right.
I can't work it out I pay $150 for a bottle of perfume and he doesn't bat an eyelid yet a $10 bottle has embedded itself in his memory for 15 odd years. Men.
That said I am going to include a bottle in my next order;).

My husband loves it a lot and it was actually his choice (I had asked him).
Pour Monsieur (Chanel) for him.

It was almost 18 and a half years ago and the newest big release was Cher's Uninhibited. The minute I sniffed it for the first time, I fell in love. It smelled like white cholocate and powder. I bought a gift set with all the ancillary products to wear for my wedding and honeymoon. I was wearing the powder, body lotion and fragrance for my trip down the aisle - we were married twice, once in NYC and once in Athens, so that all of our families could attend. When we moved 3 years later, I did not bring a lot of stuff with me and remember thinking that I didn't need the Uninhibited because I was wearing RL Safari and EL Beautiful as my signature scents, so I threw away what was left of my Uninhibited collection. Sure enough, several years later I start craving the Uninhibited - I go to buy more and find out it was discontinued 2 years after release due to a company buy out/contracts. I go on e-bay and find it selling for hundreds of dollars - WHUT???? I started scouring the internet for dupes. And that is how I found LLP, which was the precursor to POL.

Tjen - I didn't know until a couple of days ago that LT and TS were a married couple either. Quel surprise!
My husband and I, who will celebrate our fifth anniversary next month, had two weddings - one at the courthouse in July because once we decided to get married we just couldn't wait to do it (aww) and then in November had a proper wedding with our Unitarian minister presiding and guests, etc. in a beautiful setting. I wore Dior Addict to my "first" wedding and Dior Hypnotic Poison to my "Second" wedding. I think it was a coincidence that they were both Dior scents.

I am not actually "married" but after 13 years of being together with my ball and chain, Phil. It sure feels as if we are.
I would pick "Musc Koublai Khan Serge Lutens" to wear if we were ever to. I want to wear something primal here.... bring out the animal in me.. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Come here to CA and get married! Instead of throwing bird seed, we'll spritz niche fragrances at you two.

1996, a hot and humid night. I wore Panthere de Cartier (the PdT version), he wore Minotaur by Paloma Picasso (the first fragrance I ever bought him). If we were to do it again today (and yes, we definitely would), he says he'd wear Vetiver Extraordinaire. I'd have a hard time making a choice, but probably go with a Tauer. LDDM or Incense Rose.

1975. White Shoulders--the good, vintage juice.
And now he and I are "vintage."

First wedding I wore either L'air du Temps or the long gone Plasir (Raphael).
Second time worked out much better....I wore Private Collection. I had just "retired" after working for Estee Lauder, so I had a pretty good stock of Lauder scents.
Although I don't wear the Lauder scents of yesterday, I still love them. I really do yearn for those heavily perfumed days.

When perfume smelled perfumey! How's that for a shocking concept? For me the difference is epitomized in the oeuvre of Jean-Claude Ellena. First may be the last great traditional perfume; now Ellena's offerings are those sheer Hermessences, overrated and overpriced.

Can't believe I never responded to this thread!
First wedding: Memories are sketchy (heck, it was 22 years ago), but I'm pretty sure it was Halston, as that was his favorite. When I moved on to other scents, he kept asking and asking for that one.
Second wedding: Again, sketchy. (Only seven years ago, but I had other things on my mind that day!) It was either Chanel no. 5 (eternal favorite) or Victoria's Secret Dream Angels Heavenly (perfume I wore on our first date and which made an indelible impression on Mr. Diva).

I wore Allure, both body cream and parfum. Probably the talc too but I can't be certain - I was wearing black so it might not have been a smart move to use white powder. I wouldn't choose a different scent if I was doing it again. Allure is beautiful.
Note to self: buy some more of the Allure EDP! It is a false economy, buying and trying lots of other cheaper fragrances, when this is one that I really love and don't currently own.

It was in Italy, one year ago, it was very hot, I wore YSL´s Y, my husband wore Chanel Pour Monsieur and our daughter had her own lovely toddler smell. When I tried on Y this spring again (it was my summer fragrance last year) I felt it was a bit too neat and understated for me.

And no E-bay to get it cheaper on

He wore what he still wears--Obsession for Men.
If I had it to do over I would still wear the same. It fit the day.

On May 10, 2008 I wore Donna Karan Gold. My husband wore Valentino. We smelled divine. One of our guests had so much L'Air du Temps on, it literally gagged me.
On our honeymoon, I wore a different scent each day:Angel, Shalimar, Insolence, Lalique, DK Gold, Black Orchid, Cashmere Mist, and Tiffany.
