I had read some glowing reviews about a few of the products on a couple beauty forums I visit so I was curious to try some of the products for myself. I stopped by a local CVS Saturday and they were having a "Buy one at regular price, get one for half-off" sale on many of their cosmetics. The Inspired by Carmindy line was included. Btw, if you don't know Carmindy, she is the make-up artist featured on "What Not To Wear".
I ended up purchasing the 'Your Skin' foundation. I love this. It has buildable coverage and leaves a slightly dewy finish. Not greasy or shiny in the least. I think it will be easy to mattify my T-zone come hot summer weather when I'm wearing this foundation.
I also bought the 'Luminizing Primer'. I'm not an experienced primer user. I have used it twice now and I think I'm in love. It smooths out the surface of my face and makes it feel literally like silk. The foundation just glides on so smoothly when I use this underneath it.
Also read lots of raves for the lilac tinted pot of "All Over Brigthener" and I'm happy to report, it works!
I used it mainly in the inner corners of my eyes and it made the shadows much less pronounced.
And finally I picked up a skinny tube of the lip balm in 'Sweet Plum'. It's been touted as a dupe for Clinique's Black Honey and I tend to agree. It's a very pretty shade, highly glossy and tastes a bit of grapefruit.
All in all, I am really loving these new products I picked up and I do hope the line is not discontinued.
