Have You tried anything great lately? I have found three things that are "new" to me:
Neutrogena Fresh Cooling Body Mist Sunblock 45 SPF wonderful fresh smelling sunblock . cools and protects, non greasy with a great burst of cool wiht every spray
Nivea Soft a soft, whipped, creamy moisturizer all over general moisturizer, absorbs easily and leaves you soft, soft, soft
Aveeno Positively Ageless Lifting and Firming Eye Creme, just starting using it but my under eye area is not itchy and feels more moisturized (but lightly so)

Love these threads and will be keeping my eye on this one.
Have been sampling Dr. Temt Glycocid Cleanser. Love it... nondrying, and cleans very well.
Seabuckthorn oil, neat, on my skin. Makes it tingle, and moisturizes.
Also been sampling Dr. Temt Anti Aging moisturizer. Fabulous.

I just purchased Dove cream oil velvet body wash and cream oil moisturizer. I noticed a great difference in my dry skin after only one use. I've used the Dove beatuy bar since childhood, but I just might jump ships to this wash for good.
Has anybody tried a shampoo thats good for fine hair and not too expensive? I'm looking for that next.

The only thing that worked for a persistent chap in the corner of my mouth (annoying!!) - calendula gel (by VSM).

I actually have something to contribute to this thread!
Neutrogena Sunblock Spray SPF 70 and Facial Sunblock SPF 85 (no, those aren't typos, folks!) are Da Bomb. I just went on a weeklong Caribbean cruise and I look like I didn't go further than the grocery store. This is a plus as I've had several pre-cancerous moles removed in recent years.
[Usually, I post pics of these things, but the firewall at school is blocking Google images for some bizarre reason today. Hmmmph.]
The texture of both is perfection. A must have!

I enjoy reading these threads too, magdalene!
Yes! Weleda Mallow Body Lotion. Made in Switzerland. Cool and soothing for dry/irritated skin and having a slightly rosy natural aroma that does not conflict with perfume for some reason.
Ingredients: prunus armenica (apricot) kernel oil, water (aqua), alcohol, glyceryl stearate se, macadamia ternifolia seed oil, malva silvestris (mallow) extract, viola tricolor extract, tapioca starch, xanthan gum, fragrance (parfum)* limonene*, linalool*, citronellol*, geraniol*, citral*, eugenol* (* = from natural essential oils)

Noelle the "Big Sexy Hair" products are great for fine hair.
I use the shampoo and the hair spray. I spray my hair once it's towel dried from the shower then style with hair spray when it is still wet. Styling is completed when hair is dry using more spray. The products are amazing.

Thanks for the heads up. I've never heard of these, but I'll sure be on the lookout for them. I need help fast!

I have thin, fine, curly hair and have used the Big Sexy Hair products (available in salons and those mall hair product stores). They work, but I always feel a slightly gummy quality when I comb my hair. My latest discovery is aimed at volume and control for curly hair and it works for me : L'Oreal Studio (black can) Springing Curls mousse. It doesn't slick my already fine hair down to control frizz, and I don't actually find it curl enhancing. But it does give me volume without ick. Plus, you can get it almost anywhere for not too many $$.

Loreal Architexture. My hairdresser used it on my hair the other day and I love it. It's a paste and it's one of the best products I've used so far when it comes to styling. I ususally don't use anything but this stuff is great.

Lush shampoo bars-- they're long lasting and work so well.
Natura Bisse Glycoline 50% peel-- I ran out, got more and it's like finding it all over again. I don't have wrinkles yet, but it instantly clears all pores & skin buildup and lightens blemish shadows/tanned skin.
Soap & Glory's "Sexy Motherpucker" plumping lip gloss-- it's quite hydrating, it does add volume to tired lips and the tingling sensation is almost like a little vibrating motor-- very addictive. It's at Target-- so handy!

laurenb,
This sounds intriguing; I have very thin lips that are looking thinner with age. I would hate for someone to ask me the name of my lip gloss, embarrassing, on par with Police Naked fragrance!

Hehehe, the name actually drew me en, even though I'm not usually a plumper fan.

Have you heard of CAbi, clothes by Carol Anderson by invitation?
This morning I went to my first ever clothes party, a CAbi party. I love the style of the clothing and the fabrics are great. I ordered a few things I loved that fitted really well. Hope I get invited to another CAbi party in the fall.

I like Weleda products as well. I use their Arnica massage oil dilute roughly half-and-half with unscented almond oil. It's expensive, but the scent and the texture are perfect. The right ratio of grab and slide is super important when you are doing deep tissue.

This is not a new product, or even new to me, but I have to put in a plug for Pantene Blonde Expressions Shampoo in Platinum/Sand Dune. It acts like a toner for colored or highlighted hair. It tones down brassiness and extends highlights. It also seems to lighten the roots, blurring that "line" and blending the roots into the rest of the hair. It is really good to my hair, too.
If I could not get this, I would get Suave Professionals version of John Frieda's Blonde Shampoo. This is only in second place because I think it is harder on the hair. I am leary of using this long term, but when I did use it, when my hair looked drab and I was short on money, it seemed to really lighten and brighten my highlights, even more than the Pantene.

Creme of Nature Shampoo in the orange bottle. They keep it hidden away in the "ethnic" section of the drugstore (why do they even *have* an "ethnic" section? Isn't hair just hair for everyone? But I digress)
It's made with certified organic ingredients and I've been enjoying the Kiwi & Citrus Ultra Moisturizing Shampoo for Dry, Brittle Hair and the New Chamomile and Comfrey Healing Conditioner for Dehydrated Hair. They have a leave-in too, it's really nice and you need just a tiny, tiny bit. Reasonably priced.

I read about these on Gaia's blog---
The Non-Blonde. Thanks Gaia!!!
Edited to fix link.

Noelle, I've had success with the Catwalk line of hair products for fine hair. I use their "Curls Rock" series most of the time (their Curls Rock Curls Amplifier, applied to wet hair, is one product I won't travel without), but they also make a good "Thickening" series of shampoos, conditioners, and creams.
They're not super cheap, but also not as bad as some.

Thanks Twitchly. My SIL is a designer and I know they've co-sponsored some of her fashion shows. She gave me some of their styling products several years ago and I did like them, but I never got my hands on the shampoo. I'll take a look at them.
