I always do , to amuse Himself I wear jasmine based scents or white florals , its a comfort thing for he who comes from the land of night blooming things who also happens to be stuck sharing a bed with me.
The bods in aromatherapy circles go on and on about lavender as being relaxing , might be so , or not , I will leave that one up for grabs ....
My only advice is find something cuddly in your own collections and enjoy.

Welcome, GelberGirl!
What I wear to bed is largely seasonal as I always wear fragrance to bed.
I find Youth Dew to be comforting and sleep-inducing. It is one I wear almost exclusively for sleep.
Currently, I have been wearing The Healing Garden Sleeptherapy body spray.

Always. I have various oil blends from Aveda that I find very relaxing, as well as oils from the spa that I go to--usually it's one of those. I also keep my bottle of No. 5 Sensual Elixir by my bedside. Every now and again I'll spritz on something vanilla-ish.

Occasionally I do, but since I don't take a shower in the morning, what's leftover from the night before is either stale or not necessarily what I want to wear that day. Also, some 'fumes kick my mind into an awake mode, or I wish I hadn't put that one on but now I'm stuck smelling it all night....that kind of thing.
Lavender lotion is nice, and it doesn't carry over to the next day.

Exciting evening aside, I don't wear fragrance to bed because I seem to awake with a headache. Scented lotions are just as bad. If I were to wear fragrance, I like a tiny bit of lavender or something you might think of as unisex would be restful.

I bathe myself in fragrance as I sleep. It's usually a vanilla-based scent, no surprise there, though in summer, sometimes I feel like wearing a white floral or something fruity on occasion.

Chanel CUIR DE RUSSIE, WHITE SHOULDERS and Dior DUNE and Revlon JONTUE are my favorite sheet-spritzing scents. All three have gentle, "rounded" florals--- not sharp.

Quite often I'll put on just a drop or two of something before getting into bed. I have a couple of favorites that bloom nicely:
First choice: vintage Shalimar. Bedtime is my favorite time for Shalimar. Dotted down the center of the body, it's very sensuous. Just a dab on one wrist is very cozy. So it can perform double duty.
Or... If I just want to read for a while then drift lazily off to sleep, DSH Bois du Chocolat is a delightful way to end the day. Read two pages [sniff wrist...mmmmm]... read two more pages [sniff wrist...mmm-mmmm]....

I often wear perfume to bed - usually
Boudoir, or
Shalimar parfum. Lately I have started wearing
Ombre Rose to bed most nights. I'm trying to get myself to associate it with sleep and warmth and comfort and clean sheets, rather than associating it with scented panty liners as I do right now

I dab on a minute amount of Encens et Lavande (I only have a small sample!)
or else I put on some lavender body lotion. Neal's Yard used to do an Exotic

After my evening bath or shower and the application of various unguents (including scented body cream and powder of course) I tend to spray on one of my French "treatment" fragrances like Nuxe Eau Prodigieuse or Guinot Fraicheur de Peau. The only "proper" scent I might use is something like one of the Fragonard eaux de toilette, for example Vanille which is light and pretty, or Chanel No 5 Voile Parfumee.
I only use my "proper" perfumes after my morning shower.

EVERY NIGHT!!!!! I wouldn't dream of nodding off without fragrance. It can be anything, really. I go through phases, but I don't have "certain perfumes" that I wear to bed, or ones that I would never wear to bed. Classics, though, are Black Cashmere, for serenity, KM's Loukoum or Sweet Oriental Dream by Montale (thery are similar; I prefer the SwOD) for soft cuddly sweetness, DKNY for freshness and Eau Des Merveilles for ocean dreams. But heck, I'll wear almost anything to bed.

I do, but I don't marinated in it

I usually wear something from Ayala Moriel, whose perfumes are natural and don't have a great deal of sillage. I'm not sure if it's b/c of the natural component, or b/c they tend to just sit close to the skin and not suffocate, but they are great for wearing to sleep for me. They make me smell nice, but not overwhelming as if I were going to a party or something. I also wear my usual favorites but I mix with unscented body lotion. For instance, I'll spray a tiny little spray of Angel on my hand, and add some unscented lotion, and that is sufficient. SOmetimes I find that the scented lotions that come with the perfume are too strong for bedtime. The only exception to these methods is Santa Maria Novella Lavender/Amber which is cologne concentration and therefore not too strong, I wear that as well as baby cologne. So, here are my faves:
a dab of Angel/unscented lotion
a dab of Aromatics Elixir/unscented lotion
a dab of Joy edp/unscented lotion
Ayala Moriel Espionage
Ayala Moriel Palas Atena
Santa Maria Novella Amber Lavender
Russian Violets baby Cologne

But of course, GelberGirl! I tend to wear one perfume for a long time and whatever that scent is, I spritz on a little bit after evening shower before bedtime. You never know where you might be going or whom you might be meeting in your dreams...
By the way, I notice you are from the NY-NJ area. Will you be joining us at the perfume brunch on July 20th?

On occasion, no 'particular one,' just that it seems like the bedtime for a spritz or a little ritual touch. Lorenzo Villoresi Incenzi I like a lot for bed because it seems soft, velvet, violet, mysterious, shroudlike for night and sleep yet also crisp like linens.

I just commented on this on another fragrance board...many of our posters wear one thing for "daytime" and another for "bed"...exactly as I do! Since I've switched mainly to fragrance oils, overwhelming sillage is not an issue...but I do tend to wear light (comfy) florals or vanilla-based scents to bed. It's just part of the enjoyment of fragrance!

Diluted jasmine or rose absolute seems to help calm me down to sleep...or something I've made (natural ingredients don't mess with my breathing at bedtime as much as commercial scents can; I've got asthma, and it's touchier at night)...if not something from the apothecary cabinet, a similarly light floral can do the trick: vintage L'Air du Temps or Fleurs du Rocaille, something like that. White nightgown scents, even if I can't find the nightgown!
I tend to wear strong things during the day, so these private little delicacies help me reset and recharge. I don't need scent every night, but savor the experience when I do treat myself.

Interesting that lavender is widely considered a soporific (tending to induce sleep) and relaxant. I actually find it most stimulating. Were I to put it on my pillow, I'd take forever in getting off to sleep.

I bathe or shower every night and wear a different perfume every night. I would have trouble falling asleep w/o scent. One of my favorites for sleeping is Coty's L'Aimant -- an oldy but goody. I love Royal Secret, Interlude, Aromatics, Youth Dew. Hermes Hiris is lovely also. There are just so many. I also love fragrant dusting powder to wear to bed: Alexandra, Blue Grass, Aromatics, Estee. Tonight I am wearing L'Artisan's Amber Extreme.

Ombre Rose - Never mind dear Honeythief, no panty liner really ever came close to this lovely fragrance. I prefer the EDT rather than the perfume as it shows off the lovely greenish geranium in its opening notes quite well and carries well into the heart. A lovely warm, yet unusual, softly powdered rose unlike any other.
My other true love is Shalimar and I wear the EDT to bed as I like to splash a bit ! It took me some time to recover from the idea of "lemon pudding" and "old ladies" which had been written against Shalimar. In my mind she is absolutely untarnished.
I never sleep without fragrance and it is almost always Shalimar !

Always. I've actually jerked awake just as I was drifting off and thought -- "Hey! I forgot fragrance!" -- and gotten up and put some on. I LOVE to wear perfume to bed. DH can only rarely smell anything these days, so I just spray with abandon. Sometimes I like to marinate, usually on colder nights when most of my is under the covers anyway.
There are some scents I pretty much wear only at night:
-- Bulgari Blu Notte is my most soporific scent. Puts me right out.
-- Mitsouko -- my most private scent, like my secret skin
-- Shalimar Light -- very cozy
Others are for daytime as well, but I find myself wearing them often at night too:
-- Chanel No. 5
-- White Linen
-- Arpege
-- Joy
I probably wear these last four at night because they're a bit too much for my casual workplace, and I love and miss them.

I'm not one to marinate or even spritz. I like very strong localized scent for bed - inside the wrists, neck, etc. To me, this means pure parfume. I tend toward classics, but have broadened my taste to include a few newer ones. Current favorites include:
- Caron Nocturnes
- Vintage Shalimar
- Nuit de Noel
- Parfum des Merveilles
- Apres l'Ondee (not much left in my decant

LOL! We keep chickens. Roosters jump the hens first, court later. If you introduce a new rooster, the first thing he does to show dominance is to mate. If a rooster is slow sexually (which is pretty unusual), the hen will take the initiative and offer herself to him. It's all over in 5 seconds or less, LOL.

Well, I think the ladies are more into it for reproduction.
Roosters are very sexual and have sex with 10 or 11 hens many times a day. We had six hens to one rooster at one point and their backs were all dirty (he steps on their backs to get what he wants) before 7 am.
Their sexual organs which are inside are very heavy and large and are the equivalent of an adult human male carrying around 2 pounds in testicles. (I
think a chicken's
brain is about the size of a pea.)
Hey, I am the Dr. Ruth of chicken sexuality!
One more chicken tidbit: They put out millions of sperm at one shot and each shot stays active inside the hen for 21 days.
