Hungry Girl is a great website for tips and info. I love the way they take something forbidden like a Chili Cheeseburger or a Quesadilla salad and give you alternate ways to make it that'll cut fat and calories in a big way. Check it out.

Checked out the HG website and there are some great options and substitutions. Gawd, it was shocking to see how many calories and fat grams there are in some of the things I used to eat without thinking twice! blush.gif

Cool link, thanks Mariana!

Enjoy! biggrin.gif It's been very helpful for me. For some reason, so far, it's been a lot easier than I thought it would be to cut back and eat right. Not that I wouldn't kill for a 5 Guy's Burger and a 1/2 a bag of those yummy fries right about now. wink.gif

Diva, have you tried some of the recipes? I'm wondering about the ones that use Fiber One in place of breading or crust. She's got one for 'fried' green tomatoes, and another for pizza. I keep wondering if they'll taste like cardboard or not. happy.gif

I haven't tried any recipes (I've checked in there mainly for product recs), but I can attest that Fiber One is a dieter's best friend. I actually like the taste of it. All Bran is like chewing on cardboard. But Fiber One is tasty. I eat it by the handful every single day. It's a healthy snack on its own, and it keeps things, um, moving along. huh.gif

I would not be afraid of a recipe that called for Fiber One in the breading at all.

Thanks Diva, I bought the Fiber One, but haven't tried making the faux fried green tomatoes yet. smile.gif I need to bring a baggy full into the office for snacking.

Today's Hungry Girl flash is a 121 calorie/2 point Strawberry Daiquiri. tongue.gif Talk about guilt-free yum!
