Full Version: The "talk About Food" Forum...
Perfume of Life > A Civilized Perfume Affair > Talk About Food

When the "new" POL site recently came into effect, what happend to the food forum? I know that music was incorporated into the "talk about arts" forum. The food forum used to get a lot of hits, but where are the posts now? Maybe with summer and the inevitable dieting that goes along with it, folks just aren't interested in gabbing about food, lol! biggrin.gif

At any rate, I miss it...
Reiha
Yep, I miss it, too. When it's incorporated into the Arts forum, nobody seems to want to post about it anymore.

You can still post any food related thing you like here on Talk About Life. The foodies are all still here!!!!!!!!! biggrin.gif

I sort of think we need it. It was a good place to share information. I learned a lot from people's posts about certain products, where to purchase items and such. We still can post about food related topics and issues in 'Talk about Life,' but they don't 'fit as well. And food topics definitely don't fit in the 'Arts' section.

People, please check my topic about 'We could be losing our catfish.' It's an important food related topic.

Yes, but it just seems that people aren't really posting food threads like they used to. unsure.gif

I can put the food forum back if there is enough interest

Was thinking about this today and am glad that food threads are still allowed! Will be posting one soon ...

Count me in as one who missed the Food Forum , where music, book , films and arts can blend in one board , food just seems to float listlessy between life and arts.

I'm another foodie and voted "Yes" in the poll. I miss that particular sub-forum.

Thanks Jeffrey biggrin.gif
I think a lot of us would like to see it back again.

I miss the food forum toooo....such a great source of information
momo
another lonesome foodie here...
rococo
I like having food forums totally separate because it makes it easier to go back to recipes. When they get buried in more general conversation it can be really hard to track down an old thread.

I liked the Food Forum, too. It was cozy -- like sitting with friends -- and often so helpful.

Perfumeo, thank you for asking us if we want it. I learned about the best products on POL's food forum, such as Zoe's olive oil and some other products. It's been a real source of information for me.

Now, in Talk About Life, we post about everything. And I swear, POL members know more about taking care of companion animals than any group on the internet. I think "Talk About Life" has always been chock full of serious and light-hearted topics. When we need to inquire, laugh, ponder or grieve, POL is here for us all, whether we are newbies or oldtimers.

No other perfume oriented or special interest board is so warm, kind, open and friendly as well as being a touchstone for us all to ask for info and share what we know? Nowhere I know of other than POL. Jeffrey, thank you for keeping POL going for all of us.

I was remiss , thank you for the reinstatement of the food thread , it was missed very much !
rococo

Excellent! Could one of the mods move the "Fat-free Way to Eat Corn on the Cob" thread over here?
