POL'ers,
I'm in the market for a sweetie. I wear sweet fragrances well, and am seeking to add one to my collection, but I request your input...
Please list for me, if you would, the sweetest fragrances of which you are aware. I mean tooth-achingly sweet. (Something like DUNE, SHALIMAR or DZING! doesn't even begin to cover it...) What Luca would call your "sucré" fragrances. I'm guessing they will all be either Orientals or Gourmands.
I'll start the ball rolling:
Keiko Mecheri LOUKHOUM
the whole line of COMPTOIR SUD PACIFIQUE "Vanille" fragrances
ANGEL

Ava Luxe's Loukhoum is also sweet.
Patou's Sira des Indes.
I can send you a little of each if you're interested, Ras.

Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy - quite sweet and likened to the long-DCed Escada Collection on MUA
Hanae Mori Butterfly and Magical Moon
Juicy Couture
Aquolina Pink Sugar
L de Lolita (might be to salty but I find it quite sweet as well)
Tom Ford Black Orchid Voile de Fleur (might not be sweet enough)
Givenchy Hot Couture
Cartier Le Baiser du Dragon EDP (depends on chemistry, could turn woody)
Let us know what you discover!

E Coudray Musk et Freesia and Jacinthe et Rose turned out to be very sweet when I tested this summer. E Coudray Ambre et Vanille is also very sweet.
Galimard Galimar is sweet but there are spices too.
Galimard Canaica is sweet but I feel like there is some chalk under it. I suppose it's because of the moss which apparently is'nt oak moss.

A lot of mine are repeats, but think of it as reinforcement:
Pink Sugar
Blue Sugar
Anne Pliska
Cinema
Addict
Jean Paul Gaultier (last time I tried to wear this its sweetness gagged me)
Angel
Lolita Lempicka
Hypnotic Poison
Hot Couture
Chergui
Escada Collection
Funny, most of these are either past or present favorites of mine. I've been a big sweet fan over the years. Now I'm veering into chypres but I was the Queen of Sweets!

I love all three of your choices. My first thought was Botrytis. It is very sweet. I will add Sweet Oriental Dream and Chocolate Greedy from Montale and Pineapple Vanille from CSP.

I second Casaque (but it's entirely wonderful and wearable not toothachingly). Sicily is very sweet like dried fig to my nose. Oh and that Tea Rose stuff from the "something" perfumer. Head Ache, tooth ache, and too precious for words sweet.

Hello Rasputin,
Well, as a Shalimar lover, she is my sweetest perfume really. However it just happens that I have recently been wandering a little into the floralish but still woody things and I purchased a small 30ml Lolita Lempicka at an irresistable price in town today. I could not resist.
Boy, Lolita is sweet !!!!
Maybe you have tried it. The sweet hit morphs quickly to an anise, woody thing which takes me straight to my Father's favourite pipe tobacco but sweeter.... I had never had patience for this when trying it before....but now....it is so sweet and yet so striking !
Overall I do not like much sweet but this stuff is wonderful !!! A little powerful but its longevity lacks a bit.
The more I reapply the more I like it.

Un Bois Vanille by Serge Lutens. Like a rich dessert. I can only wear this on very cold days.
Ambre Narguille by Hermes is another, though it's sweet in a sweet-tobacco kind of way rather than dessert. Another cold-weather frag.
Carlos Santana reminds me of a sweet tropical drink with an umbrella. Just plain fun.

I like sweet, too! THis is such an interesting thread to me since many of the nominees--Le Baisir? Sicily?--are not sweet at all to me.
I got my gallbladder out last Thursday, and as a little "get well" gift my in-laws gave me Moon Sparkle by Escada. I think it's safe to say that all those Escada LE frags are SWEET. (I'm putting this up for swap, btw, since I'm not much of an apples, blackberries and strawberries kind of girl.)
My favorite sweeties are Angel (Queen Angel, as I like to call her), Chocolate Greedy, many CSPs (especially the Banana one and the Peach one), Laura Mercier's Creme Brulee, a few BPALS (Sugar Cookie, Candy Cane), POTL, Susanne Lang's Warm Vanilla (others in her vanilla line, too) and her Black Orchid (a good sweet floral). And while I don't like them anymore, Lea St. Barth and Lea Extreme are also very sweet.

Hmmm. I don't think that Vanille Extreme is sweet at all! It is a very dark, almost liquorice-like vanilla.

I wish I got the same level of sweetness from Pink Sugar that everybody else refers to. On me, it goes from sweetened green to burnt/green. It doesn't really reach sweet. I like Pink Sugar, but it's not the same scent on me as on the majority, I fear.
MMU's Sugar Cookie, though - now that is sweet. I get comments on it from men whenever I wear it near them.

Wow, besotted! Thank you for mentioning this one along with the picture. This was my first amber, 15 years ago, from the 'bohemian oils only, please' days. Still have the little container kicking around here somewhere. Don't know if I'd now find it too sweet! But it's one of the three keys that lead me into the scented world and not just hanging around the doorway.

I haven't tried Pink Sugar but just from its name - it sounds very very sweet. Two fragrances I've worn that are incredibly sweet are the mentioned
Lolita Lempicka (the sweetness is, though, nicely tempered by anise) and
Sirene by Vicky Tiel. I swapped away my bottle of
Sirene - I just could not bear the sweetness. A high-pitched sugary sweet that had absolutely no moderating notes. I felt like I was screaming S U G A R every time I wore it. Pretty bottle and juice, though.
