For me, I have seen the East Coast chanteuse, Linda Eder about five times. The lady is really good in concert. She's gorgeous and has one heck of a pair of pipes. She always blows me away every time I see her. I'm glad she has made trips to do shows here in Las Vegas. I'd love to see her again for a sixth time. I guess I'm a Ederphile then.
2nd most seen artist, well, only two times but Lorna Luft. Man, she really sounds like her mother, Judy Garland more than you! Liza doesn't even sound like her mother like Lorna does.
As for whom I'd love to see in concert? I'd love to see my fave of fave female singers, Tracey Thorn and Everything but The Girl (or both for that matter). I'd love to see Pet Shop Boys again after seeing once for their Nightlife tour which was awesome years ago.
I'd also love to see that awesome, elegant, dapper Mr. Bryan Ferry. I just love the man. He's so cool. I'd love to see Goldfrapp too if she ever came to the states.
Of course, the one artist that I'd give my eyeteeth to see live but I know she'll never tour again because she's 70's year old and "why should she?" - Shirley Bassey. "Man, she still has the pipes to carry a tune like she did for years now". I love her latest album, Get The Party Started.
And now for you, whom have you seen a bunch of times and whom would you like to see and have not seen yet?

I went to Willie Nelson's 10K for Farm Aid - ran the race, and caught some of the concert afterwards. So badly want to see him again.
Saw Robert Earl Keen, and while I love his music, I hates the people who get drunk and then sing along at the top of their damn redneck lungs - and they are the majority of the people there.

k.d. lang is awesome live. I'd love to see her again live. I wish she'd come to my neck of the woods. But it seems like everyone I don't want to see comes to Las Vegas! LOL!!
I wouldn't mind seeing the Rolling Stones either. My brother and brother-in-law have seen them so many times, it's not funny!

I saw Bobby Short three times, Eartha Kitt twice, Blossom Dearie twice.
I don't know what it is, but I only like to see pop/rock stars I love once, the smaller the venue the better. The two exceptions are John Cameron Mitchell as Hedwig and the Angry Inch, whom I saw three times and a British band called British Sea Power, whom I've seen twice.
In opera:
Karita Matilla: Three Elsas (Lohengrin), Two Manon Lescauts, four Jenufas, one gala performance (Merry Widow), one recital, two Leonore/Fidelios
Natalie Dessay: Four Lucia di Lamermoors, one Fille du Regiment, one gala performance (Sonnambula arias)
Rene Pape: Two King Phillips (Don Carlos), in recital four times, two King Heinrichs (Lohengrin), one Pogner (Meistersinger) one Rocco (Fidelio).
Ben Heppner: one Andrea Chenier, one Lohengrin, one Walther (Meistersinger), Siegmunde (Valkyries)in concert performance
Renee Fleming: one Desdemona (Otello), two Violettas (Traviata), one Tatyana (Euguene Onegin), one gala performance
Dmitri Hvorostovsky: two Rodrigos (Don Carlo), two Ballos, one Eugene Onegin
Pianists

Would really like to see: some kind of Holger Czukay something, anything. Same for one Helios Creed. REALLY regret never taking one of the dozen or so chances to see Link Wray before he died.

I've been so deprived! I saw Meatloaf once, not by choice ... Hall and Oates and I got invited back to their hotel room and hung out with Daryl Hall all night (I was 19 years old), the Raspberry's reunion, not by choice ... Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, by choice.
I would have loved to see my favorite bands, Boston (which can never happen), Kansas, Heart, REM, Earth, Wind & Fire, Mike Oldfield (Tubular Bells), Led Zepelin ...

I've seen the Dead more than once. Not because I was a die-hard fan, but because I was on a road trip down the west coast with a BF that liked them and so part of the trip was about 5 Dead shows. Oh, you know.. I could get dismissive of it now because it all seems to trite in hindsight, but it was more about the experience than the music. There was a certain kind of freedom there that is easy for me to sniff at now, but it was exactly what I needed at a certain point in my life, coming from a background that demanded conformity. In all, I've probably seen them 10 times.
Generally, I'm not interested in seeing an artist more than once, but I saw Iggy Pop a few years ago and I would gladly see him again. Quite the experience.

I'm so jealous of y'all! My parents were very old-school European, they took me to classical music concerts and the ballet, but nooooo rock music in the house. I didn't get a stereo until I went away to college, and then I never had pocket money to go to the concerts that my friends were going to. We didn't have cable - I never saw MTV until I was married and in my 30's ... So now in my old age, I watch old concert clips of my favorite rock bands on you tube! What's funny is when the artist looks nothing like I envisioned him - take Paul Davis for instance:

Aw, Demetrue, don't be jealous.

My parents were older parents, set in their ways, and stricter-then strict.
They never let me go to concerts when I was in high school and any albums or anything I wanted...I worked after school jobs for those things.
I didn't go to concerts until I was out of school, and, truthfully, I didn't really enjoy them all that much.
I'm one of those odd people who really enjoys hearing the music on the albums -- with no crowds around -- and in what I think is the "perfect" sound of recorded music.
Oh, and MTV didn't come out until I was out of their house.
They would NEVER have sprung for cable...back then. *LOL*

I was not allowed to go to concerts when younger too. So , I did not see anyone except for Bryan Ferry - it was the 70's he was young (so was I ) and he was fantastic! So handsome and he sounded just like his records! My boyfriend (now my husband) was with me and he Fell Asleep!
I have seen Eartha Kitt alive too - fantastic.
I would love to see Jose felliciano, the french group called Les Negresses Vertes ( I think they may have broken up??) and the one on the tippy top of my list is PAOLO CONTE!!! Has anyone seen him live????

My sentiments exactly. I hope Paolo Conte comes to New York City sometime. If he comes here, he will be able to sell out Carnegie Hall, I'm sure of it. But, you know, he was born in 1937, so I'm not optimistic about the chances of him performing outside of Italy.
I was a fan of Les Negresses Vertes too.

Oh you are so lucky to have seen Bryan Ferry, I adore his music!! He once was engaged to Jerry Hall (ex-wife of Mick Jagger) who would have been better off with Bryan, IMO.

Chenas I think Paolo would be in his early 70' Smelka has seen Eartha Kitt recently and she is still going!
Mind you - he has to go to AUSTRALIA first! LOL
Chardkay it would have been about 1977 and he was so handsome. The band was all dressed out in jeans but Bryan was in a suit. I think Jerry had left him by then??? Bryan went on to marry a english socialite who ended up having some drug probs. They have 3 or 4 boys and he is now divorced and has a hot young number!

I think he should have given Jerry another go!
