Were I a teacher, I would love to teach history using the story line in this book.
Just one example includes the following idea.
Showing the specific Vermeer painting including a hat made of beaver pelts and how the need for more pelts
to make more hats drove the explorers to the New World--I think this is but one example of a wonderful VISUAL storyline
to make history come alive and live in the student's mind beyond the mandatory test date.
One might even instill an appreciation of art AND history by using this idea.
This title is on my must read list.
