I was thinking the other day about the amazing and very long career of Bruce Springsteen. He has truly become an American icon. I'm very curious to know what non-Americans think of his music..does he have a fan base in other countries? Is his music relevant internationally?

That's a non-starter. How many rockers can?

I liked his earlier stuff but now he is just boring!
Does he actually still rock? All I ever heard are slow songs. Yawn!

You don't have to duck, sweet Prince. I never said I was in love with him.
He does not have a great singing voice...no argument there. But he's not about the singing; he's about the message. The question is: do non-Americans get him?
Is he popular at all in the U.K?

Mildly popular. In certain circles.

Hey, I'm with you on this one! I've always wondered if he could actually "sing"...

As far as "getting him" is concerned, I'm an American and he just never did anything for me. Working class hero type, everyman, etc, blah, blah, blah...zippo, boring.
My husband, however, thinks he's the greatest thing since the wheel...eek!!
He and I seldom (if ever) agree on music, come to think of it...
