Oh, those lucky few who can eat what they want and not have it result in fat or illness! Today I was daydreaming about what I would eat if I could do that. I have to watch my diet very carefully but if I could I would slather butter over everything salty and dollop whipped cream on anything sweet. My daily diet would contain bowls and bowls of the saltiest pretzels possible. I would eat a few healthy things, but not in moderation! For instance, I would have clams and oysters shipped in by the carload! I might eat a vegetable from time to time, such as a tomato picked off the plant in the sun...
If health or weight (or cost!) were not a concern, what would you eat to your heart's content?

I agree about the clams and oysters, 5-O! Since I am landlocked any kind of seafood and shellfish is my idea of luxe living. Cold peeled shrimped cooked in Old Bay seasoning and served with lemon butter and homemade shrimp sauce. Lobster tail. Cracked crab. Scallops. All served with salads and fresh vegetables.

Oh so many things come to mind, but big, juicy, med-rare steaks along with baked potatoes loaded with sour cream, and crusty French bread would top the list as these are all things I love but have been avoiding or eating very little of these days.

Any number of grease-soaked potato products....fries, tots, chips, jo-jos. Fish and chips by the truckload as well with a ton of tartar sauce.

Deep fat fried everything , samosas , egg rolls , home made french fries ( this inludes poutine).
Everything drenched in really really good butter.
Daily , something from the salt group , the sugar group , the fat group and the carb groub (blananced diet ya know)
Fresh seafood , and this would include shrimp ( in an ideal world I would not be allergic )
Pork products , its been ages.
Cake , tarts and cheese cake

Fun topic! My fantasy pig-out would include any and every kind of fried potato known to man, a signficant variety of cheeses, chocolate, cheesecake, loaded baked potatoes, Dungeness crabs with lots of melted butter for dipping, lobster, fried oysters, salsa and fresh fried tortilla chips, and strawberry shortcake with lots of fresh whipped cream.

I would do a combo of Hungarian food and pre WW I Imperial Austrian cuisine with a full English breakfast every so often... so, we're talking kuglhopf, milk strudels, veal cutlets, dumplings, kaiserschmarn, roast goose, cabbage, etc.., coffee with heavy cream, kedgeree, stuffed carp, roast duck, Omelet Arnold Bennett, cucumber salads, boiled beef with spinach, goulash, etc.. washed down with Gruner Veltliner, Austrian reds, tokays, rieslings, etc...
Or instead of alternating between soup and salad for my usual weekday lunch, I'll be ordering a different poboy each day from Casamento's in New Orleans

I'm another who wants piles of crab (soft shell and blue), oysters (fried and on the half), Lobster (steamed with a pound of melted butter) and black beluga eggs (I'll just eat it with my lobster and butter, no bread or crackers thank you).
For desert I want a pile of those sessame coated, lotis paste filled, round crunchy Chinese pastries from SF Chinatown AND a
perfect Creme Brulee.

BlueCedar, It all sounds good! Bring the Thai and Vietnamese food; I've never tried it. I also like Korean Kim Chee.

I'm with Sharil. French fries, lots of potatoe chips and old fashioned onion dip. Cheeses..........ahhhh.........cheeses..........
Seafood..........I can get that pretty often..........
I'd get the kind of fried platter that they serve at the Carolina beaches (Calabash)......with tons of tarter sauce. Oysters, clams, shrimp........you get the picture.
Tons of pasta. All different sauces.

You can eat anything you want, but have smaller portions. I can't deprive myself of food I love. I just adjust everything else accordingly and exercise. Calorie in and calories out.

What would I not eat? I love to eat. I think I'd gorge on lobster tail with butter sauce. I'd wash it down with the finest, driest red wine I could get my hands on. Then, for dessert I'd feast on a molten chocolate cake with raspberry sauce and as much whipped cream as I wanted. An Irish coffee would cap it all off.

When I think of it, I already eat whatever I want. I just keep on top of working out and exercise so well I don't see it really make a huge dent in making my waistline bigger. Been there, done that. Now I'm afraid of becoming huger than a house! That image is one that always keeps me in check.

pogacsa? Well, I used to when I was a kid and I could go for some right now!
I could only find a picture of
pogacsa, biscuits made out of bacon fat and bits with flour and paprika:
Teperte is the Hungarian equivalent of crispy fried bacon rinds and
solona is pure bacon fat, usually cut into little ½" cubes and served on rye bread sprinkled with salt and paprika. All of these wonderful for the heart! Now it must be said that
solona bacon is not the gooey fat kind you see in North America but a more textured, springy European style smoked bacon.
Oh--and while we're at it, give me some salted beef marrow on rye bread too!

I would eat platters of fried oysters with tartar sauce and cockatail sauce.
And medium-rare prime rib, ribeye steaks, and filets.
And ribs. Lots of ribs.
Washed down with Barq's Creme Soda (the red kind).
For dessert I'd eat bread pudding and brandy sauce.
I'd probably throw in some baked potatoes with all the trimmings...and pounds of HUGE red, seedless grapes...very ripe plums, very ripe pears....and some sharp cheddar cheese.
Oops. I forgot my home-made fudge -- chocolate and butterscoth. Pounds of it.

Lasaga or ravioli with meatballs and braciole
Baked macaroni and cheese, breadcrumb topping
Baked clams oreganata
Sliced fresh mozzarella and beefsteak tomatoes dressed with chopped basil, salt, balsamic vinegar and good olive oil
Corned beef or brisket or pastrami on rye with mustard, full sours and kosher dills on the side
Fried anything - onion rings, zucchini, potatoes, samosas, calamari, oysters
Any and all bread and butter

Rebecca, SIL and I were travelling through Maine one time and we are both clam and lobster lovers. We decided that for breakfast we would go to a seafood place. It was a big barn where they steam the clams and lobsters for you in any amount you want. SIL had a huge lobster for breakfast and I had three pounds of steamed clams (and one purloined lobster claw)!

most are here due to fat, salt, or my wish to eat far more of them than recommended; a few because I am for the most part vegan and give myself very rare and specific non-vegan allowances
- a quinoa + avocado (+ 1-2 other toppings) concoction I make that lends itself to extra helpings
- fancy potato dishes with good roquefort
- gindara (black cod in miso sauce)
- various black bean rice noodle dishes
- lots of Indian foods (different curries especially with paneer, onion bhajis, rice dishes, Indian snacks of fried chick pea flour, rice crisps, nuts, especially boondi, tiny little ###### of fried chick pea flour, lightly spiced, utterly addictive)
- good fish and chips and tartar sauce
- an Afghan dish of meat, grains, pulses, looks like a very thick mash, is called Shula but that may be spelled wrong
- cheese (x-old mimoulette, expensive roquefort, walnut cheese from France, smoked cheddar, port cheese)
- organic beef
- fried carbs

What's wrong with that, Besotted? That's what I had for lunch, except that I used fresh mozzarella pearls instead of slices. Granted, I didn't eat a pound of mozzarella, but I thought it was pretty healthy. And oh so yummy during tomato season. I did add some minced garlic and cracked pepper.

Nothing's wrong with it. I'd eat an entire platter of it rather than limit myself to my usual slice or two, is all.

As for sinful foods, I eat everything I want in very small portions. I would certainly love to eat more pop-tarts, cookies, ice cream, pizza, raviolis and tater tots than I do however. :-)

I cannot believe I left out that important alcohol group , mojitoes, bloody cesar , Glenlivet , Crown Royal on ice and nowt else , Bailey's but the bucketload and Goslings Rum.
