ellennyc's opinions notwithstanding, I was going to post this in the Miracle Whip thread, but IMHO Oreos deserve their own heading.
So I was chatting with a few gents and it turns out that we all tend to dunk ours in milk. Only reason to have milk IMHO, but I digress. Well, we all dunk, except one. This gent takes a handful at a time, crumbles them up into a bowl and pours milk on them.
In case you're wondering, yes, he uses a spoon.
I was moved to tears at the efficiency and simplicity of it all. The only thing faster would have involved a blender.
This concludes my public service announcement.

I scrape that odd white plastic bit in the middle and enjoy the lovely dark chocolate biscuit dipped in my coffee. What is the purpose of the white plastic anyway ?

The sweet white cement/caulk composite in the middle serves a number of purposes. First, it holds the two biscuits together. Second, it provides the sweetness that is required to satisfy the discriminating palates of school-age children. Finally, it provides a textural contrast between the creamy white sugar-putty, and the crunchy chocolate discs.
A symphony in two bites.

I did try their iced coffee and found that quite satisfactory - Starbucks quality without the irritating barista.
But I was a bit upset when they asked if I wanted fries with my coffee.

I have recently discovered flavoured double-stuff oreos - I am currently gorging myself on the chocolate-filled and mint-filled ones. No milk required (except occasionally as a chaser).

Thomas's friend is that sugary, chocolatey sludge created by adding milk to the crumbled cookies.

I much prefer to eat my crumbled up Oreos with vanilla ice cream, homemade, if possible.
I dislike the 'cookies and cream' ice creams that are sold, the cookie bits are too soggy.

I'm such an oddball, I actually prefer Uh-Oh Oreos to the originals. Uh-Oh Oreos have vanilla cookies and chocolate goo in the middle.
Jen those cookies sound like a sure-fire crowd pleaser!

Oreos never did anything for me. I do understand that they are an obsession for many for a reason, but they leave me cold. I do, however, like the mint sandwich cookies that Paul Newman makes.

I thought there was nothing better in the world than a good old-fashioned Oreo, but when I was enticed to try Trader Joe's Peppermint Jo-Jo's (Same dark chocolate cookie, but peppermint-candy-bit infused "white stuff" on the inside) I thought I'd die of happiness...or sugar overdose. Sadly they seem to come out only at the holidays. I bought boxes and froze 'em -and I make my own vanilla ice cream to add them to! BLISS!!

Oh, then try to find the Newman's version. They are kind of spendy, so I just fly by them regularly and grab them when they are on sale.

My absolutely favorite cookie of all time is the Chocolate Mint Fudge covered Oreos. For some reason they are only available around the Holidays (Nov-Jan) here. And yes, they are about 300 calories and 52g of saturated fat apiece...
Yum.

Oreos are ok, I never got to like the frosting though. I don't like any kind of frosting...not on cakes, either. I just eat around them.
And for Oreos, my preferred way of eating them has always been to twist the Oreos apart, and scrape out the innards with a knife, and then just eat the chocolate wafers. The big pile of white frosting goes into the trash, they look gross, too, like a pile of lard.
Oh yeah, and sometimes I spread peanut butter on the chocolate Oreo wafers. Yum! The wafers are superior, not too sweet and with a good chocolatey taste
