She's young. Thank goodness, it was caught early.

Fighting Breast Cancer

Yes. I just saw that. She's young and she'll be o.k. hopefully.
GalileosDaughter
She so young. Hopefully it will turn out well.

She is really a funny actress! She found her niche in light comedy and she pulls it off well.

Thankfully, her doctor ordered an MRI !! My cancer was not found with mammogram, ultrasound, or palpation, only with the MRI.
Being young puts her at a slight disadvantage....but my gyn was 31 when dx and she is now 55 ........

I hope she is er/pr+ and Her/neu negative with no nodes....these are the most favorable pathological reports. IDC or ILC....hasn't been posted yet.
36 years old and dealing with this......
I hate cancer!!

Oh, I just love her! I have, since the 80's.

If anyone is the heir to the Doris Day mantle, it is she.
Lady jicky
So young! I wish her well.

Christina Applegate had a double mastectomy and will be going for reconstructive surgery.
CHARDKAY
I think she thought it through and had the double mastectomy, which will lower her risk of further problems considerably. She is, apparently, not as vain and self-absorbed as some of the other lame actresses her age. I salute her, and wish her well, she is a gorgeous girl with a wonderful sense of comic timing...........
GelberGirl
Good healing vibes to her ~~~~

Here is the video interview from Good Morning America. My heart goes to her.
VelvetSky
I think she's wonderful.

Like she said, now her breasts will always look good.

She tested positive for the BRCA1/2 gene mutation.
I don't know if she is going to keep her ovaries (30% increased risk for ovarian cancer with the mutation).
I saw a snippet of the show and was so moved by her announcement and actions.
