I just bought what turned out to be a British cookbook on cakes. The recipes are calling for "size 3 egg" or "size 4 egg". I assume these are large or extra large eggs, as they are classified here in the US, but I would like to confirm this if anyone can help me out. Thanks!

The cookbook is actually very new, published in the past couple of years - perhaps they weren't planning to export it?

I wonder if it has anything to do with the EU regulations. They seem to be changing everything. I just read that acres will now be hectares.
