Full Version: Violence In My Back Yard...
Perfume of Life > A Civilized Perfume Affair > Talk About Life

This is the kind of news item that alarms me, for it's a kind of anarchy going on "in my own back-yard", ie., South Texas and bordertown Mexico:

People who don't live in the Southwest have no idea what is going on. They'll wake up when it's too late, when it's in their own backyard.

Have you heard the latest, about Operation Scheduled Departure? Illegals can volunteer to be deported! I heard this on the radio yesterday and thought it was a joke. I believe it's a pilot program in five cities. Guess how many people have volunteered? ONE!

You can read about the program here. You have to scroll down a bit, as this page is added to everyday.

I have sweet wonderful relatives who live in Cochise County AZ. If it weren't for Fort Huachuca and Army Intelligence based in the county, the area would not be livable.

When you think about the stringent checks that every passenger have to go through, before he boards an airplane - body frisking, taking of shoes and so on and on, and I' m not complaining, because I understand the necessity , but then from what I see on the news is that every day hundreds of people come to US completely unchecked... where is the logic in all the metal detectors, all the screening of the luggage, really terrorists would be dumb if they tried to fly to US and put themselves through all that.

All those checks seems to me so futile, while the southern border is so badly controlled - its like locking your door, while opening all the windows wide open for the burglars!

I recall reading in a Texas newspaper last year that an Austin courthouse recorded dozens of legal name changes in a three-week period by young middle eastern men, who now have Hispanic names. One witness said he spoke to one of the men in Spanish but the man gave him a blank look, clearly not a Spanish speaker. Now, if that doesn't sound suspicious, I don't know what does!

Oh, my God! Does he speak Spanish? Become a spy and befriend him. Contact Homeland Security when you find something out. Keep us posted! Maybe we'll see you on Sixty Minutes telling your story! ohmy.gif

I just heard on the radio a discussion of some Mexican army officer arrested for running drugs into the US. The Mexican army is paid by the drug lords to smuggle drugs and people. Technically, this is a foreign army invading the US, so I don't know why nothing has been done until now.

Xa-Xa-Xa, how funny. You would be surprised, and I know you will find it hard to believe, but not everyone's dreams start and finish with getting vintage Guerlain and latest Lutens. Pity, actually.
