Excellent article. Thank you for posting.

Oh goodness! How awful! Rosalind Russell and Norma Shearer must be spinning!

Another one, along with MTV's remake of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, that I'll be avoiding.

The reviewer calls the original film "a Rosalind Russell film." Although Russell is in it (third billing or thereabouts), it's certainly not a Rosalind Russell film--Norma Shearer and Joan Crawford are the main characters, protagonist and antagonist.

In any case, thank goodness I have the original DVD and can watch it whenever I want.

Was this on cable or in theaters?

This film sounds like a total stinker if I ever read about one. I don't think I'll even go see it nor rent it when it comes out in video.

I thought the idea of remaking this classic old Hollywood film was a mistake from the word "GO".

I'm sure a remake of Singing in the Rain with Lindsay Lohan and the Jonas Brothers will be coming to a theater near us soon, LOL!! (making the sign of the cross)
