I think that if you had any of those symptoms most people would be at the Dr. Thanks.

True, but the impression I got was that many doctors don't recognize it when they see it, or don't even
know what IBC is...

IBC is rare; 1-5%, but it is a very aggressive cancer.
I've heard of it before ....

This is such an important topic. So glad you posted it. It's a shame there isn't much talk about it anywhere!
About a year ago I did a lot of research on this topic so I could present it to my church's Women's Ministry. I believe there was only ONE lady there who knew anything about it! That's remarkable!
Even though we would like to think someone with these symptoms might run to the doctor, the fact is if the woman has never heard of this she might just think she's had an allergic reaction to something, and/or whatever it is will go away on it's own. A lot of people don't have health insurance or the means to go to the doctor for everything they find and if they don't have knowledge of this devasting disease it could cost them their life if they put off medical care. That's why everyone needs to be educated about it. Some cases may not have severe symptoms right away and that might delay treatment which could be catastophic. I believe lives could be saved if women already know what to look for with this dreaded disease.
