I like the idea of a 2-in-one shampoo with conditioner, but I find that the conditioner in it is not enough, even with extra-moisturizing formulas, and I have to use a little of a separate conditioner or I'll get static. They smell great too but...just not enough conditioning for me! I've tried Pert, Finesse, Suave and Avon. Anyone have any suggestions for a specific brand that does have enough conditioning in the 2-in-one?
TIA!

This is my thinking, which was confirmed by my hairdresser: You can't really remove things and add things at the same time and do either of those effectively. You have to have a detergent or surfactant for removing, and then various substances to coat the hair shaft to condition it. So when you try to do it all in one step, you probably get a sufficient effect, but you're not getting your hair truly clean or truly conditioned. How is the oil and dirt going to rinse away when you are applying something that adheres to the hair at the same time?
It seems like the perfect thing, but really you're just confusing your hair and that's not nice. LOL

Nope - 2-in-1's seem to defeat the purpose of each process - they counteract one another so that neither is as effective as when used separately.

I never use 2 in 1's unless I am desperate, as in a place where I have no choice....like no hot water, camping, etc.
These always tend to make my hair greasy. I have fine hair, so I have to use very little conditioner.

Ellen, I've found two brands that do the 2 in 1 thing, but they don't brag about it. They're for dry hair. I just leave them on for 1-2 minutes before rinsing. After I get out of the shower, I put on just a dab of Morrocan hair oil, Bumble and Bumble styling creme or Philip B leave in conditioner before airdrying or blow-drying.

Can't say that I've ever had much luck with the 2-in-one shampoo/conditioner combo. It doesn't clean or condition very well IMHO.
