I am going through a stack of DVDs and just watched this. Oh my God! One of the most powerful films I've ever seen. Ben Kingsley is so amazing. Whatever happened to Jennifer Connelly? I don't want to give the story away, so I won't say much. I loved that I couldn't figure out the plot, there were no typically black and white characters or situations. No one was totally wrong or totally right. All shades of gray, like life!

Put it on your list of must-see!

This was a movie where I had read the book first. I loved the movie more than the book which is totally out of character for me. It's usually the opposite way around. The author just wrote another book titled: "The Garden of Last Days" (author: Andres Dubus III) which is another thought provoker.

A very heavy movie and well done.

I kept wondering if it was based on a true story. It seemed like one of those things you'd see on Sixty Minutes or 20/20.

Yes, outstanding movie, but leaves you with heavy heart.

Shohreh Aghdashloo, what an actress.

I saw that movie when it came out. It was very serious and intense but I was riveted.

And what an incredible beauty, too! This movie is right up there with the rest of my very favorites. Unforgettable. And Jennifer Connelly's character was so achingly true-to-life. As was her cop boyfriend. Great acting all around.
