There are plenty of us who loved Foyle's War, so now we get to see Foyle's Peace. I can't wait!

Sounds like it's going to be a while before it starts, PM, but I shall be ready--if they ever show it around here. The PBS stations I get were terriibly spotty about showing Foyle's War. The article says there were 19 episodes. I don't think we got near ten here, over a period of several years, and they were on at weird times and irregularly. Then they would drop it and suddenly one would come on unexpectedly. Very bad scheduling and promotion. Someday if I come into big bucks I might just buy up all the series!

I watched the whole series this summer start to finish using Netflix, really enjoyed it...although parts were like an updated (backdated?) episode of Murder She Wrote. Had a strange experience last week though, I had NetFlix send me the marvelous Bob Le Flambeur from 1956 which I hadn't seen in years and the soundtrack of Bob was a direct inspiration for Foyle - the opening title music and transitional themes - such much so that it was clear who ever did Foyle music grabbed it directly from Bob. I wondered whether they would admit to the insipration or passed it off as their own hoping Bob Le Flambeur was too obscure.

Bob Le Flambeur

Good name for a celebrity chef!

How intriguing about the music, I'll have to search that one out. Thanks for the rec.

(I was feeling a bit irritated lately with all the shows who've been recycling some music from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. IMO, those themes belong right where they originated, though I don't begrudge the writers/musicians the income, LOL!)
