I had the good fortune to test the 3 Vero Profumo scents last night, created by Vero Kern, a Swiss perfumer, friend of Andy Tauer.

There are 3 scents: Rubj, Onda and Kiki. All three are really excellent. They are pure perfumes, but the sillage and lasting power on all of them was incredible, after only applying a few drops I could still smell them 5 hours later with no problem.

Here are the main notes: Rubj is orange blossom, musk and jasmine, Onda is vetiver, ginger, mace and coriander, and Kiki is lavender, caramel and musk.

But these notes alone don't begin to describe the complexity and development of the scents over time. I was intoxicated by the beauty of Rubj in particular. Onda was my second favorite, but really, I would happily wear any of the 3.

It's unusual to have all the scents in a line appeal to me, but these are truly exceptional. Luckyscent will be getting them in a few weeks, sign up for their newsletter now so you are notified of the release!

I'm so glad you love these. They are perfumes with soul, and that's not so frequent nowadays... I'll really have to review them sometime. I have Onda, the dirty leather vetiver, and Kiki, the caramel lavender fougère. But I love Rubj too and when my sample's empty, I plan to get it too. As you say, it's not often that you fall in love with a whole line, and I can't wait for Vero to compose new things.

So glad you like them !

Vero's a perfectionist-
It takes her forever to work on her scents !
It shows, too.
Love her, and them...

I have already put my name on the Luckyscent waiting list with Franco. :-) I look forward to finishing my samples - good thing they'll be here soon!

Always glad to see Vero getting some praise and totally agree about the perfumes! I find Onda particularly stunning--a perfect translation of the classics into a modern vernacular. I only wish there were more like her (the perfume and the perfumer) in the world...

I adore and wear all three. Each one is a masterpiece, full of surprises. These scents are both intimate and personal while making almost a fashion (or style, better than fashion) statement. I've already reviewed Onda and Kiki ( here and here ) and now working on a Rubj review. I might prefer Onda, but Rubj was the biggest surprise because it's out of my normal comfort zone, yet it's so pretty I can't resist.

It's GREAT to see Vero see the recognition she so justly deserves!! Her fragrances are made the old way, with soul and care and complexity and they're all extrait de parfum, not mere eaux de toilette or eaux de parfum, hence their exceptional staying power.

I was mesmerised by Onda, which is completely unlike anything else on the market now and quite taken with Kiki which managed to convince me lavender can be enjoyed as an almost gourmand delight and which I wear often to bed.
Rubj to me was a bit less unique than the above because it is so intensely floral, based on well-known essences, but it's beautiful and very satisfying as well.

You can read a very enlightening interview I conducted with Vero Kern, the nose behind them, clicking here.

Helg, it's a delightful interview.

If I were a man, I'd marry her, right away.
