Full Version: Michelob Ultra Pomegranate Raspberry Beer
Perfume of Life > A Civilized Perfume Affair > Talk About Food

Has anyone tried this? I saw an ad in a magazine for it some time ago. I look once in awhile in my area mass retailers or area liquor stores, but no luck finding it. I am not really a beer drinker, but I LOVE Pomegranate Margaritas, so I thought this beer might be something else I'd like to try.

It sounds so good.

Reminds me a bit of the tradition they've had in Britain for decades: pouring blackcurrant or raspberry or lime cordial into lager. They tend to think of this a "woman's drink" over there, but I loved it!

Sounds tasty! Do you have the option with your liquor stores of finding the full product code and distributor and having them bring it in? Have you tried Lambic raspberry beer? Like a big kick of thick fruit over top a somewhat hidden brownish beer. They make a great Kriek (cherry) beer. LOVE those. And there is a great blueberry beer from
Maine.

Love lager and lime, rasputin! Didn't know of the other syrup options in England. In Germany there is Berlin white beer with a shot (Berliner Weisse mit Schuss) with, uh, red syrup or green syrup.

It got a solid drubbing on ratebeer.com...

I had me some blueberry beer made at a local micro brewery.

It was sweet/sour, fruity, and STRONG!!! The blueberry taste was quite natural.

Can't say as I liked it much. To me, beer should remain, well, beer. I can see mixing in flavors for the sake of novelty or out of boredom, but it becomes something other than beer. Like all those cocktail-tinis, they may contain vodka and come in a martini glass, but they aren't martinis and someone should have given them new names.

I don't think 90% of the flavored beers out there are worth trying...chocolate stout, however...

The Michelob sounds awful from the reviews on the ratebeer site!

There is a horrible product in Québec that doesn't call itself beer - I forget what it's called - but consists of malt liquor either brewed or otherwise infused or mixed with lemon-lime flavour or berry flavour. Absolutely vile stuff sold very cheaply in 1-litre bottles; in comparison, Mike's Hard Lemonade and its ilk are top of the line connaisseur tipple and the good infused beers into the stratosphere.

I got a raspberry beer and a pomegranate beer and will be mixing them after trying them separately.

Have very fond memories of chocolate stout, Reiha!

Try lambics from Belgium especially Lindemans.

Found some this weekend. Must say, I'm not all that fond of beer so maybe that's why I like these ~ it's like a fruity adult drink with a kick. wink.gif I like it.
