Feel free to add to this list and let's take a walk down memory lane and figure out where the missing perfumistas are!
I'll just post one to get started:

Loved her style, sharing, savvy and openness!

Susan is alive and well. We saw her at the Beauty Brunch in July. She's just not posting these days--busy with other things.

Also, who was the fellow that used to post from upper Canada? I can't remember his name?

Do you mean the guy who was a hunter and posted pix of dead coyotes he had hunted & killed? His name was Kentlock, and once I got over the initial shock, I warmed to him somewhat, too.
I miss voyaguese imaginaire -- yes, I do! Her perspective as a citizen of the world was a welcome addition here, I thought. ALso, she had a great deal of knowledge about Serge Lutens, and I learned a lot about his line from VI. I miss her.
I also miss Vidabo -- those daily art postings were truly inspiring, as were her perfume reviews and associations. Also, Fulltiltredhead, for her sober wittiness.
But, as Dorothy felt about the scarecrow, so I feel about Armanis....but his name has been mentioned here already. I miss him awfully, and hope he is well and rejoins us soon.

Kentlock, that was his name! Yes, I miss Vidabo as well and Fulltilt, but I did see her here on another thread last week. Maybe they will slowly come back, you never know. David was gone for a while but came back, his wittiness and extremely talented olfactory sense were direly missed by all. Thank heavens he came back!!!

I miss Pieganjane (the writer Jane Stern) for her many quirky posts, Dimma Greece, and Penelope. I'm pretty worried about Penelope, based on her last post, ages ago.
It goes without saying that I miss Armanis. And, thank goodness David came back. Dave, if you are reading this, know how well we think of you, in every way. You cannot be replaced.
And Vidabo. She is a real loss.
Of course there are others.
I never really knew if Kentlock was for real.

I'm struck by two related thoughts.
One, is that it's dangerous to use the collective voice in these things. It's one thing to say "I miss so-and-so." It's another to say, "We miss so-and-so." Some surely do, some equally surely do not. I've missed some of the above myself. But not all of them!
Two, is that nearly all of the posters mentioned were somewhat contentious figures with detractors as well as admirers. Perhaps this says something about the types of posters and posts which make a board go and that the most liked are not the most memorable and vice versa.
Eh, I'm being too ponderous. Posters come and go, 'tis the nature of forums. Fluidity is a good thing, it helps couteract the tendency towards cliques and exclusiveness.

You know, one night, I was thinking about POLers, having looked at the personal photos that y'all uploaded, and I saw pieganjane, and I thought she looked a lot like Jane Stern the author!!!!

What a fun life she and her husband have - travelling around and writing about food!

Good insight. I think the best combination on a board like this is a mix of likable and memorable people. It's always handy when the two traits are combined in one person.

Another interesting question to pose would be how much any of us would miss POL if we left and how much POL would...ahem....miss us. I'm speaking for myself here - not aiming that remark at any other poster. LOL
Some went off in a huff and probably are posting on other forums and others....just felt that their relationship with the forum came to a natural and inevitable end. It's interesting. Sometimes, people need a reason...a rift, if you will ...to leave, and others just slip quietly into the night.

Sharil, I haven't posted in months, and I don't think a single soul has missed me. Some folks just have a more memorable presence than others, I guess. I'm sure you would be missed.
I still check POL every day, but life's been very busy, leaving no time to post.

I miss them all and yet I miss none , clear as mud , no? I think they have moved on and so shall we , yes , we did chortle , guffaw , scratch our heads and even cried and gnashed teeth a bit and it was all good , but lets look forward.
So , in saying that , lets wish our departed the best life has to offer and hope it brings them all they deserve.
AND , let us enjoy the present for a bit ...
We have a number of fabulous newbies , who fit like a comfy glove and jumped right in , they know who they are , and they are appreciated

I always credited Armanis with having moved on. There's no point in pleas and enticements to someone who is obviously not going to see them.
FTR peeks in occasionally, I'd love her to be a more regular presence.

When you mention Joy, Clan, dear, do you mean Sustenance? I miss her as well. I keep in touch with her as best as I can but she's very hard to reach at times. She's just very busy from what I remember the last time I talked to her which I can't even remember when now... pretty sad. I hate losing touch with really wonderful folks like Joy aka Sustenance. She's a really truly wonderful gal. I miss her dearly.
