I'm trying to say this gently, albeit with trepidation.
Is is realistic to put a BIN of $260 plus $15 shipping on a used bag that can be ordered new from the Coach website for $258 with free shipping? Perhaps you're only using that as a come-on and will be satisfied with the opening bid of $220 plus shipping, but I have to say that if it were me, I'd probably want a new bag for very little extra outlay. Especially since you seem to be using a stock photo and not one that shows the actual bag.
In addition, I think the discrepancy between shipping prices in the listing is courting trouble, or at least a dissatified buyer.
Sorry. I hope it works out for you.
I understand your points here and believe me, no offense taken.
I had a hard time trying to get that shipping calculator to to work anyway I wanted to it. So I just gave up and posted in the message of the auction notice what it will actually cost to send the buyer. It may cause for confusion, you're right with the buyer. Believe me, I had this issue with a buyer before when I sold something this past year. I ended up not selling to the buyer and sold to someone here in the U.S. and actually making the profit I wanted to.
"I really hate using Ebay..... grumble, grumble, grumble... "
Yep and I used the stock photo because I don't have a good camera that works for me to use. I hate not having a camera! But luckily I was able to sell an item with a stock photo on a Coach sterling silver ring a few months back with no problem. Your points are really good ones.
I did drop the price a bit more on the "buy it now" price to $250.00 since I did think I was asking more than what I should've. I'll be happy to get just the $220.00 if someone does buy it for that amount at final bid.
If not, I'll relist and I'll be happy with getting it sold at a new starting price of $200 or even $195.00. At this point, I'm truly realizing "beggars can't be choosers", at least not in this economy.
Thanks for your thoughts, I do really appreciate them.
