I've been looking forward to this show, staring Molly Shannon and Selma Blair, for ages now. I hope it's as good as the promos. I think it's based on a show from Oz. It's part of NBC's Thursday night comedy line up.

Oh dear - this is a shocker! I was disappointed when they made Kim (daughter) thin - the Aussie Kim is fat with the muffin hangover - she thinks she is hot but ............ Her incredible ego is the joke.
Sadly they took out Kims second best friend Sharon who is even fatter. If you go to youtube you will see what I mean.

I love Kath and Kim Ozzie version.
What no Sharon, then won't watch it.

It's politically incorrect to show fat people on TV, except for the Biggest Loser.

DH and I watched this last night. We liked it...so far. I love Molly Shannon, and Selma Blair was kinda funny. The outfits are way over the top, on both ladies. I love how even though Selma Blair is thin, it goes to show when you cram yourself into shorts/pants that are two sizes too small, it can make you look so much worse and 'create' a muffin top where one should not be.
Did anyone else see this show?

Surpringly, I liked this. It provided a few good laughs. It's nothing that stretches the envelope of comedy or of intellect, but it skewered a few stereotypes quite nicely.
Like Kim pointing and saying "He's just past the Hispanic guy." The camera pans, and she's pointing at a Sikh gentleman. There are a lot of clueless Americans like that. I laughed and will probably watch it again. (The soundtrack was a little bit of a timewarp, too.)
Haven't seen the Australian version, so can't compare them.

I like the guy who plays Kath's boyfriend. He's been in a few Christopher Guest films. Molly Shannon has a nose like Bob Hope, that ski jump look. I can't take my eyes off it!
