I had the pleasure of sniffing a new men's fragrance , launched this year I think.
It was from the bottle of a friend who got it as a gift (actually hinted about it , having sampled it before , I learned).
I also sprayed some on my hand ( couldn't resist) and it was vaguely familiar.
At first I wasn't sure what it reminded me of. It was so confusing : the day was rainy , the air was damp and cold , the earth was wet. I was sure it had to do with the smell I got , but no , it was mostly the scent.
Finally it dawned on me : it's a cross between Voleur des Roses and Lolita au Masculin. A woody and earthy and yet fresh men's.
Actually the logo insinuates presence of a rose , although I haven't seen rose in the actual notes.
Anyone care to guess what it is?

Bravo , great guesses!
Jenavira ,ajmc and Prince Barry nailed it.
Doesn't it smell like I said?
I swear I smell the rose-patchouli combo with some liqorice thrown in.
Not bad for something aimed to the early 20's crowd , huh?

Can you really smell the black amber and patchouli?
I'm not too fond of the liqorice note you mentioned, but if the black amber and the patchouli are QUITE evident, I may have to try this one!

I am not sure it even contains liqorice , it just smells that kind of sweet and bitter smell somehow. Has a lightly done foody theme in there , that's actually not sickening. The whole composition remains earthy and fresh.
The patchouli is very evident , making the fragarnce earthy and damp like I said , as to black amber , what is "black amber "? I thought perfumery amber is mostly fir resin ( to cut a long story short - not to embark on that discussion again), isn't it? That's not black in colour.......
Anyway , it does have some amber but the patchouli and the woods are more prominent tomy nose.

I guess I'm going to need to try this one if the patchouli is evident!
The black amber reference makes it SOUND really spicy, too. Which captures my attention as of late.
