If you weren't spending big bucks on fragrance, where would you be spending it?

Victorian sterling silver teapots and cutlery! Since I can hardly afford both passions, I moved a rather large amount of funds from that to perfume :-)

My latest obsession is calligraphy pens. I found out that one of my pens is rare and replacement parts are hard to find. It's fast becoming a lost art (because of computers) and the pen nibs difficult to come by.
I also collect Jewelry.

If I wasn't into fragrance, the money saved from that would be going towards clothing or travel.
Speaking of which, I've been feeling a mid-winter hankering to get back to NYC! If only things weren't so crazy at the office!

I'm with Jeffery, I'd buy clothes and travel more.
Still, I don't buy much perfume. Well, more then most people I know that buy one a year at duty-free, but no more then about 6-8 a year. Rest are gifts or swaps.

I'm spending big bucks on books as well. And of course on cosmetics, clothes and accessories. If all the above weren't with me an obsession, I would spend money on cars, houses and interior decoration.

I think the things I would spend money on would things such as travel, decorating my home (have to save up for wood floors), clothing, jewelry, books, and shoes.

well, I would try to buy myself some time for music - I hardly have more than an hour a day to practice and this is with a series of concerts approaching - two next week, one the week after and a smaller one in march. BAD BAD BAD

the hardwood or the greenstone or the tile, I haven't decided what to put where so I'll sock it away on scent. Really haven't sacrificed much for the habit.

This is kind of boring to say, but maybe I'd save more money. The hobbies I do have seem to fit within my budget, including many shared with other POLers: perfume, fountain pens, tea and teapots, books, and jewelry. I don't own a house or a car, which translates into more for my hobbies. I might also take more short trips and stay in nice hotels, just for the fun of it.

LOL..
If I didn't have this obssession, I'd indulge in tons of expensive face creams. I know they're not any more effective than regular priced ones..but I love the way they feel..

There is no if about this one as I already do all three. I spend on yarn for knitting and fibre for spinning. In addition I spend on skincare ingredients as I make hand made state of the art skincare creams. I love doing all of the above.
