My wonderful BF brought back for me from Paris last night a bottle of the Guerlain Muguet which was re-released in a very limited edition (sold only on one day 4/29/06, only 190 bottles produced).
It is in a classic Guerlain parfum bottle like the Apres l'Ondee bottle pictured here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...Y_BIN_Stores_ITIt has a cream colored ribbon tied around the neck with tiny gold leaves and white muguet blossoms - just lovely.
I must say that this is the truest, most perfect muguet scent I have ever smelled. I am only disappointed that it was sold as a 28ml eau de toilette - I would have preferred a much larger bottle of this. I will certainly be contacting Guerlain to urge them to make this a permanent member of their line.

Lucky you! How does it compare to Diorissimo?

or to Caron Muguet de Bonheur?

I see someone has already put one out on Ebay for $260 (selling price was 130 euros):
http://cgi.ebay.com/Rare-Guerlain-MUGUET-c...1QQcmdZViewItemI thought it was superior to Diorissimo, have not smelled Caron Muguet du Bonheur. It was more like fresh muguet than the Diorissimo, less "perfumey".

How romantic!!!! Guerlain release this every year in a very limited number for May and only sold at the Paris Boutique. It is a French thing to give your loved one a bunch of Lily of The Valley.

I could have kept that ebay item on my screen for ever. I have never looked at an ebay item before where it showed a video of the scent and music played.

Well, I did smell two different ladies wearing delightful muguet scents in the bus today. Maybe that's what it was! (Ha Ha Ha!!!) Lovely, cazaubon! I've kind of been hoping they would come out with a muguet because I saw a picture of their original muguet perfume in the Guerlain book. I think it goes way back about a century!
$260 is kinda steep for less than an ounce of edt! That may be the Internet Excitable Price. If it turns up in the Guerlain Institute here, we'll see...
Enjoy, and wear it in the best of health! Enthusiastic applause for the BF!

Really, every year? I thought it was only this year. That's good news then, there's hope of getting more!

I've bought from that seller before. He has interesting things, usually expensive (or now expensive), but when/what I bought it was reasonable.

Hi, cazaubon,
Well, I was looking for this photo to show you and finally I found it. It's a pic of the original Guerlain Muguet bottle from way back. This photo is in black and white but I believe I saw another one in colour and the label is actually ivory and black, if I recall:

I have actually seen a bottle like this within the past 5 or 6 years, not for Muguet but for another Guerlain re-edition (which I'm sorry I did not buy) called Quand vient l'été. Love this bottle and the original Après l'ondée bottle is my all-time favourite!

Thank you so much FiveOaks for posting that! They have just reissued Quand Vient l'Ete this year too! Can't wait to see that bottle too.
