I'm a big Olivia deHavilland fan, because of her good acting and also largely because she always came across to me as a "real person" not bedazzled by Hollywood hype. More power to her! I hope she does write an autobiography and, if she does, I for one would like to read it!

Click to view attachmentOh, I would too!! Olivia's relationship with sister, Joan Fontaine, was NOT good . . . and Miss de Havilland would have much to say about her work on GWTW; she has seen the picture 26, times. I'd be interested to hear of Olivia's experiences with Errol Flynn, as well. De Havilland's career never really bounced back, after her second Oscar, for THE HEIRESS . . . she had troubles with her husband, about that.

I've always loved Olivia De Havilland, though I knew nothing about her personal life - I would love to read her memoires - Japan, England and finally Paris - what an amazing life she must have led.

Dem . . . Olivia called Vivien Leigh, an 'exquisite creature . . . slightly perverse, which only served to heighten her allure . . . '
